To strengthen our risk management team in Doha, we are seeking an experienced Market Risk Manager to oversee risk analysis and ensure sound financial practices.

Role Overview

The Market Risk Manager will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and managing market risks across portfolios. This role requires strong analytical skills, financial expertise, and the ability to develop strategies that safeguard the organization against volatility and uncertainty.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze market risks across trading and investment portfolios.
• Develop and implement risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures.
• Collaborate with trading, treasury, and finance teams to ensure risk alignment.
• Conduct stress testing, scenario analysis, and value-at-risk (VaR) assessments.
• Prepare detailed risk reports and present findings to senior leadership.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Identify emerging risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related field; CFA or FRM certification preferred.
• 8–10 years of experience in market risk management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of managing risk in financial services, banking, or investment firms.
• Strong knowledge of risk models, derivatives, and financial instruments.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is a strong advantage.

Pay: Up to RO2,700.000 per month
