Market Sales Support

Overview

We are looking for a reliable, energetic, and customer-focused Market Sales Support team member to assist with booth setup, customer service, sales, and overall market operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, interacting with people, and being part of a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup and breakdown of farmers market booths, displays, and products
• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Handle sales transactions accurately using cash and/or payment systems
• Restock products and maintain organized displays throughout the market
• Help maintain cleanliness and presentation of booth areas
• Follow company policies regarding attendance, dress code, and professionalism
• Support team members to ensure smooth daily operations

Qualifications

• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40–50 lbs
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to work weekends and early mornings
• Previous retail, food service, or market experience is a plus but not required

Requirements

• Employees working in Oregon markets must obtain a valid Oregon Food Handler Card.
• Employees working in Washington markets must obtain a valid Washington Food Worker Card.
• Certifications must be completed within the timeframe required after hire.
• Employees are responsible for maintaining current certifications throughout employment.

Schedule

• Part-time with the ability to move to full time depending on business needs
• Weekend availability required
• Early morning shifts may be required depending on market schedule

Compensation

• Competitive hourly pay based on experience

Work Environment

This position primarily takes place outdoors at local farmers markets and community events.
