GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Marketing and Communication Manager is responsible for all aspects of SCARPA North America’s (SNA) Marketing Group strategic planning, management, organization, and oversight. In this senior management level role, the Marketing and Communication Manager will report to the CEO and work extensively with all departments and managers at SNA, the executive leadership team at SNA and the global parent company in Italy. In addition to the primary departmental responsibilities and with the guidance of the CEO, the Marketing and Communications Manager will develop KPI performance measurement and tracking for oversight of the Marketing Group performance to goals, budget management, new initiatives, creative development, and corporate partnerships. This includes budget development and performance, engagement and conversion analytics, business development research and opportunities, sales channel and product line performance tracking, and competitive landscape analysis. The Marketing and Communication Manager and the Marketing Group is responsible for developing, presenting, and communicating the SCARPA brand story, image, voice and optics to our customers, stakeholders, and the outdoor sports community, while researching and activating innovative ways to reach new and more diverse participants and markets. This position requires global enterprise level strategic and operational marketing and engagement experience and expertise, combined with extensive executive knowledge and experience in strategic planning, business development, and human resource management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Marketing Group Planning: Oversight, Reporting and Scheduling:·

  • Annual Marketing Budget developed, approved, and tracked with SNA VP of Finance and Admin.
  • Create and execute an Annual Marketing Group Strategic and Business Development Plan
  • Monthly and Quarterly Executive and BoD Marketing updates and goals reporting
  • Manage, communicate, and align the SNA seasonal Go to Market Launch plan and deliverables with SCARPA Italy and the SNA Sales Group
  • Communicate the seasonal launch plan to all stakeholders with details on target consumers, key product and category focus, specific initiatives, and goals

Collective Marketing Group Organizational and Operational Management:

  • Build, develop and guide the Marketing Group and team of individual Marketing department coordinators that have experience, expertise, and skills specific to brand and image management, graphic and web design, social media, Athlete management, and Trade Events. All with an overarching understanding of brand communication, consumer engagement, and marketing ROI
  • Develop Annual Marketing Group Strategic Plans, department initiatives, and individual objectives with the coordinators for each Marketing Group area of focus based on the company goals
  • Work directly with the SCARPA global Director of Marketing and marketing team to manage the global marketing team communication, engagement, launch planning, promotion, advertising, scheduling, and collaboration
  • Review, vet, and oversee all public facing communication and content
  • Build the SNA strategic and tactical Marketing and Sales plan in collaboration with the SNA VP of Sales and aligned with the company goals.

Human Resource and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Annual Performance Appraisals and Wage reviews for all direct reports
  • Ninety Day Appraisals for all new employees
  • Develop and maintain a rolling three-year departmental organizational plan that aligns with the growth goals of the company
  • Conduct annual Stakeholder Surveys for SNA Employees, Retail Dealers, Sales Representatives and Consumers
  • Maintain involvement with service-related community or industry organizations supporting sustainability, diversity and inclusion, education, leadership, mentoring and business development

Mission, Vision, and Strategic Planning:

  • Advise and assist the CEO and the SNA BoD in Vision and Mission development and communicatio
  • Develop the annual SNA Strategic and Financial Plan with the CEO and Executive Leadership team

Sustainability Duties:

  • Develop and guide the corporate strategy including objectives of sustainability and common benefit
  • Ensure that the culture of sustainability is fully integrated into the team's way of working

Sustainability Competencies:

  • Sustainability culture: Alignment with SCARPA's vision of sustainability
  • Logic of sustainability: Concrete application of the logic of sustainability in operational choices

REQUIRED LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES:

  • Authorization and documentation to work in the United States
  • Ability to travel internationally as needed for business

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (following duties are required on all positions):

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree (B.A. /B.S.) or at least five years related experience/training in executive level management, marketing management, marketing operations, or related field. Or equivalent combination of education and experience

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Business office, Trade and Consumer events, Domestic and International Travel. Hybrid remote working possible.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $78,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
