General Summary
The Marketing and Communications Manager partners with the leadership team to develop and execute strategic marketing initiatives that support organizational growth and brand success across all Community Heritage Financial brands. This role plays a key part in strengthening relationships both inside and outside of the organization, advancing our Absolutely Exceptional Experience culture, and ensuring our brands remain recognized and trusted within the communities we serve. In addition to providing strategic guidance for all internal and external marketing and communications related activities, this role provides oversight and support to all social media activities, product/service-related projects and promotions, brand management, and public relations efforts on behalf of the Company.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Leads and develops a high-performing team, through on-going coaching, feedback, and professional development opportunities.

Collaborates with marketing team members and leadership to define and promote Community Heritage Financial brands.

Partners with retail, commercial, and mortgage teams to align goals, strengthen customer relationships, and drive revenue growth.

Serves as the primary liaison for marketing vendors and coordinates with additional other third-party providers as needed (e.g. Jack Henry, Kadince, etc.).

Reviews and approves advertising and contribution requests in conjunction with marketing team members and management.

Oversees marketing campaigns from concept to execution, identifying opportunities and ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

Manages public relations activities, including social media, press releases, and community outreach.

Manages Company website(s) in conjunction with the ad agency, as well as Company intranet, including third-party provider oversight.

Identifies and advocates product or service improvements to the marketing team, committees, and/or leadership.

Leads or delegates project teams for customer-impacting initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, defined timelines, and effective stakeholder communication.

Ensures all marketing materials are compliant with applicable regulations through collaboration with the Compliance team.

Maintains positive relationships with financial industry representatives, regulatory authorities, community organizations, business partners and others.

Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the bank's compliance with all regulatory requirements, e.g., Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act, etc.

Actively engages in service, civic, and other community-rooted activities to further solidify the reputation of our brands.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field, or a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service).

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a marketing or finance role; prior management or people leadership experience preferred.

Strong understanding of marketing principles, digital trends, and budget management.

Proven leadership skills with the ability to delegate effectively, inspire teams, and communicate with clarity.

Solid understanding of the financial services industry and emerging marketing trends.

Proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and other graphic design or content creation platforms.

Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to interact professionally with employees, clients, vendors and community partners.

Highly organized with the ability to develop efficient processes, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.

Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical abilities required; able to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
