The Marketing and Communications Manager is responsible for shaping, coordinating, and executing the school’s communications strategy across all platforms to advance Cristo Rey Miami’s mission, strengthen its visibility, and engage both internal and external stakeholders. This position partners with internal clients, including Student Life, Academics, Recruitment, Corporate Work Study, Development, and Operations, to ensure their initiatives and stories are clearly and consistently communicated. The Marketing and Communications Manager plays a key role in the positioning of Cristo Rey Miami. The role reports to the Director of Operations and collaborates closely with school leadership and staff.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and communications plan aligned with Cristo Rey Miami’s mission and strategic goals.
- Develop annual calendars for communications campaigns, supporting recruitment cycles, fundraising appeals, events, and student life milestones.
- Maintain and refine key messaging that keeps each department and initiative top of mind with external stakeholders.
- Ensure brand consistency across all communications channels.
- Create compelling written, visual, and multimedia content to tell Cristo Rey Miami’s story.
- Manage school websites, newsletters, and social media platforms with fresh and timely updates.
- Oversee production of print collateral, advertising, and promotional materials.
- Capture and curate photos, videos, and stories of students, faculty, staff, and other stakeholders to preserve institutional memory, strengthen mission awareness, and support promotional use.
· Collaborate with stakeholders across the school to turn needs into clear, effective communications.
- Ensure clear, consistent communication with external stakeholders like current students and families, faculty and staff, current and prospective donors, current and prospective Corporate Work Study job partners, prospective students and families for recruitment, community partners.
- Monitor engagement and adjust strategies using data analytics.
- Grow Cristo Rey Miami’s online presence and digital community engagement.
- Manage school’s press outreach and relationships with local media.
- Draft press releases and coordinate media coverage for major school announcements and events.
- Provide communications support for major school events, including recruitment fairs, fundraising events, and student celebrations.
- Collaborate with Development team on fundraising campaigns, donor stewardship communications, and impact reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience in marketing and communications, preferably in education or nonprofit sector.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; strong storytelling ability.
- Proficiency with social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
- Experience with email marketing systems and website CMS management.
- Strong visual eye; ability to produce basic graphic design, photography, and video editing.
- Data-driven mindset with ability to analyze communications performance metrics.
- Mission-driven professional with a collaborative approach and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- High level of creativity, initiative, and attention to detail.
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish and-or Haitian Creole
