Position Summary

The Marketing & Communications Manager leads key communication, event coordination, and brand building efforts that promote the organization’s products, services, brand and reputation. Responsibilities include managing client, employee, and shareholder communications; marketing and helping coordinate client, networking, and community events; and supporting brand consistency and community engagement to enhance the Bank’s visibility, reputation, and relationships.

This position is located in our downtown Seattle office and requires full-time, in-person work.

Essential Duties

Communication & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Develops and delivers clear, consistent communications for clients, employees, shareholders, and community partners, including materials to support product launches, deposit campaigns and outreach to referral partners.
  • Participate in Bank committees and meetings, supporting business unit objectives by preparing messages, updates, presentations, and communication materials.
  • Maintain strong cross department collaboration to ensure aligned and timely organizational communication.
  • Ensure all communications and materials meet regulatory, compliance, and internal policy requirements.

Event & Community Engagement

  • Coordinate corporate, networking, and volunteer events that reinforce the Seattle Bank brand and deepen stakeholder relationships.
  • Assist with event logistics, materials, and onsite coordination to ensure highquality execution.
  • Oversee corporate giving and employee volunteer programs in alignment with the CRA Strategic Plan.
  • Represent the Bank at community and professional functions to broaden awareness and strengthen partnerships.

Brand & Reputation Management

  • Uphold and evolve Seattle Bank’s brand standards across all communications, materials, and events.
  • Develop and maintain brand tools, templates, and visual assets to ensure consistent visual identity.
  • Support efforts that enhance the Bank’s reputation within the community and among clients, employees, and shareholders.

Creative & Strategy Development

  • Develop and execute strategic marketing plans and calendars that align with the Bank’s goals for loan generation, deposit and client acquisition, and shareholder relations.
  • Produce polished visual materials including signage, collateral, and presentation decks.
  • Oversee the creation of engaging marketing content, materials and campaigns, for a mature organization, ensuring messaging and positioning are current and compliant.

Administrative Support

  • Perform routine website updates using the Bank’s content management system (CMS) to ensure accurate and current information.
  • Drive real-time insight and optimization based on key KPIs and compile regular reporting from multiple sources.
  • Physically attending work on a set and predictable schedule is an essential function of this job.
Requirements:
  • Due to the collaborative nature of this position, it requires daily in-person work. [After a 90-day training period, this position allows for one day of work from home each week.] No exceptions will be granted.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or business management, or equivalent career experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience in marketing, public relations, communications management, and event planning preferred, with a strong preference for candidates with banking experience and marketing experience targeting the high-net-worth market.
  • Advanced knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office, and social media platforms.
  • Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to analyze, craft, and implement effective marketing and communication plans.
  • Strong graphic design skills and able to quickly develop PowerPoint presentations, printed marketing collateral and digital content.
  • Excellent writing skills, with experience writing about financial services and complying with federal bank advertising and related regulations.
  • Analytical thinker with a creative approach and the ability to develop innovative marketing solutions.
  • Strong organizational, attention to detail, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a commitment to meeting deadlines.
  • Self-directed, self-motivated, resourceful, with ability to work independently and under minimum supervision.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time, lift up to 25 pounds for set up and tear down of events and moving items upstairs and/or downstairs when necessary.
  • Must be willing to travel and attend community events, as necessary.
