Marketing and Social Media Assistant

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, this role is ideal for a content creator who can capture the daily life of our multiple departments; the Shooting Academy, Retail Showroom, Gunsmithing shop, Gundog training facility, Archery department and more. You will be responsible for turning our world-class craftsmanship and events into engaging digital stories.

This role requires a mix of creative content production, community management, and administrative support. Must be familiar with and comfortable around firearms.

Duties

• Identify and capture photos and videos of interesting events, procedures, and products across all departments.
• Create and edit high-quality short-form (reels/posts) and long-form (YouTube) video content.
• Execute the daily posting schedule and manage our presence on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
• Ensure content is timely, relevant, and aligned with brand voice.
• Conduct social listening to monitor brand mentions, industry trends, and competitor activity.
• Analyze web analytics and social media metrics via Google Analytics and web analytics tools to measure campaign performance, provide reports, and inform future strategies.
• Manage Facebook events, share content to relevant groups, and build relationships with our retail brands for cross-promotion.
• Digital asset management and organization.
• Assist with website blog updates, e-commerce product listings, and the assembly of weekly newsletters.

Skills

• Proven experience with social media management tools such as Hootsuite or Buffer.
• Strong ability to shoot and edit video (Reels, YouTube, etc.). You should be comfortable with mobile editing apps and desktop software.
• Photography skills.
• Ability to develop engaging campaigns using social media marketing strategies tailored for different platforms.
• Expert-level familiarity with Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube (including community management and backend analytics).
• Independent initiative.
• A familiarity with or a genuine interest in hunting and/or firearms is preferred. You must be comfortable working in a firearms-related environment.

Pay: $30,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
