Job Description:
Ten Mile Mushrooms is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Social Media Intern to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual passionate about marketing, social media, agriculture, sustainable practices, and culinary delights. As a Marketing & Social Media Intern, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our online presence, engaging with our audience, and promoting our specialty mushroom products. This position can/will be a paid position once the candidate has onboarded and shown potential for the growth of the social media aspect of the company.

Responsibilities:

• Content Creation: Develop visually appealing and engaging content for various social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) that showcases our specialty mushrooms, farm activities, and behind-the-scenes glimpses. Much of our content is created via Canva or other editing softwares.
• Community Engagement: Actively engage with our online community by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries. Foster positive relationships with followers and customers.
• Campaigns and Promotions: Assist in the planning and execution of social media campaigns, promotions, and contests to increase brand awareness and drive customer engagement.
• Photography and Videography: Capture high-quality photos and videos of our specialty mushroom cultivation process, harvests, and farm events for use on social media and other marketing materials.
• Research and Trends: Stay informed about current social media trends, algorithms, and best practices. Provide insights and recommendations to improve our social media strategy.
• Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and analyze social media performance using analytics tools. Prepare regular reports with key metrics and recommendations for improvement.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to align social media efforts with overall marketing strategies and campaigns.

Qualifications:

• Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a related field (Marketing, Communications, Agriculture, etc.).
• Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic photography and video editing skills.
• Creative mindset with the ability to generate engaging content.
• Familiarity with agriculture, farming, or culinary industries is a plus.

Duration:
6 Months with the potential for a paid position during/after
