Marketing Assistant & Brand Partnerships Position
We’re looking for a smart, creative, highly organized Marketing Assistant who is excited to help build a brand that sits at the intersection of comfort, education, and impact.
Nerdbugs is an award-winning brand creating adorable anatomical plushies, educational tools, and comfort-driven products that help people understand their bodies in a fun, approachable, and meaningful way.
Founded by a family medicine physician and mom, Nerdbugs was built from a simple but powerful idea: health should feel less scary, more human, and a whole lot more comforting. What started as one idea in a hospital room has grown into a fast-growing brand loved by kids, families, educators, hospitals, and healthcare professionals across the country.

What You’ll Do
- Help plan and execute fun, strategic campaigns across email, social, and influencer marketing
- Write witty, warm, engaging copy for emails, captions, hooks, and scripts
- Support content planning around gifting moments, awareness campaigns, trends, and educational themes
- Help with email setup, campaign organization, and reporting
- Create or support graphics, visuals, and marketing assets that feel playful, polished, and on-brand
- Keep marketing calendars, assets, and timelines organized
- Research creative ideas, trends, and partnership opportunities
- Collaborate closely with the team to bring big ideas to life
What you’ll do:
Campaign Support + Marketing Strategy
- Help plan and execute seasonal, educational, and mission-driven campaigns across email, social media, influencer, and community channels
- Support campaign calendars, launches, promotions, and brand moments tied to health observances, gifting, and education
- Track campaign goals, performance, and insights, and help identify ways to improve results
- Research trends, awareness campaigns, and cultural moments that align with the brand
Email Marketing + Copywriting
- Help write compelling subject lines, preview text, and email copy that drives opens, clicks, and engagement
- Assist with campaign setup, organization, and QA in Klaviyo or similar platforms
- Contribute ideas to monthly email themes, educational content, promotions, and product storytelling
Social Media Copy + Content Support
- Write engaging captions, scripts, hooks, and content copy in the Nerdbugs brand voice
- Help turn health, education, and product concepts into fun, relatable, scroll-stopping storytelling
- Collaborate on content structure, messaging, and creative ideas designed to increase reach and engagement
Brand Voice + Creative Consistency
- Help maintain the Nerdbugs voice across platforms: warm, witty, inclusive, playful, smart, and human
- Ensure brand consistency across copy, graphics, videos, and campaign assets
- Support a cohesive visual and emotional brand experience across email, social, web, and marketing materials
Design + Creative Direction
- Support the creation of email layouts, social graphics, digital assets, and brand visuals
- Collaborate with the marketing team on creative assets for campaigns, product launches, and website updates
- Help translate educational ideas and product features into visuals that are compelling, approachable, and on-brand
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with leadership and the marketing, education, social, and operations teams to keep projects moving
- Help manage timelines, campaign assets, and calendars using Monday.com or similar tools
- Support reporting across email, social media, and broader marketing initiatives
- Assist with creative reviews and content testing to improve performance over time
Partnerships + Brand Growth
- Support marketing efforts tied to B2B partnerships across healthcare, education, retail, and museum channels
- Assist with influencer and ambassador outreach
- Help identify media, PR, and brand visibility opportunities
Bonus Points If You Have
- Experience with Klaviyo, Canva, Shopify, Metricool, Monday.com, Slack, or Google Workspace
- Copywriting, content, or storytelling experience
- Experience with healthcare, education, parenting, gifting, or mission-driven brands
- Experience working with influencers or creators

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
