Marketing Assistant - On-site Role

Marketing Assistant – Balcones HQ | Location: 11149 Research Blvd, Ste 300, Austin, TX 78759 | Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (Flexibility for events) | FLSA Status: Non-exempt


Austin Telco is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Marketing Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment and is excited to support our mission through digital, print, and community-focused initiatives. As a Marketing Assistant, you will provide critical logistical and creative support to help maintain our brand consistency and ensure our marketing operations run smoothly across all branch channels. You will also play a key role in our community outreach, traveling to various locations to bring the Austin Telco story to life.


What You'll Do

  • Deliver exceptional support by assisting with the coordination, scheduling, and execution of marketing campaigns.
  • Draft, proofread, and edit marketing copies for emails, social media, and website updates to ensure they meet brand and compliance standards.
  • Support branch operations by coordinating with external vendors for printing, promotional items, and branded merchandise.
  • Participate in community events by supporting planning, logistics, and on-site execution.
  • Build strong internal relationships by collaborating across departments to elevate the member experience.
  • Support digital engagement by monitoring social media content and escalating member inquiries as needed.
  • Maintain organized departmental documentation, including project files and asset libraries.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements while assisting with website and promotional updates.
Requirements:

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent required ; college coursework in marketing or communications is a plus.
  • Prior experience in an administrative or marketing support role requiring high accuracy and deadline management.
  • Friendly, professional personality with strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Excellent time management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated integrity, empathy, and a commitment to brand consistency.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite ; familiarity with creative tools like Canva or Adobe Express is highly valued.
  • Ability to travel to various branch locations and community events as required
