As a Marketing Assistant specializing in Social Media and Video Content, you will create compelling short

form content and support social media initiatives. The ideal candidate understands the e-commerce

customer lifecycle and how content, community engagement, and social trends contribute to growth and retention. Partnering closely with the Digital Marketing Specialist and Director of Copy & Communications, you will help bring marketing initiatives to life and strengthen brand awareness across platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

● Film and edit short-form videos optimized for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and Youtube Shorts

● This is a hands-on, on-camera role - you’ll concept, create, and star in content while managing

day-to-day publishing and community engagement

● Support influencer relations including outreach, coordination, and ongoing partnership

management

● Develop content to support promotional sales, product launches, and events

● Stay updated on social media trends and opportunities to position Johnny B. and Color Edge Hair

Care at the forefront of the hair care industry

● Track performance metrics and recommend optimizations

● Communicate with educators, influencers, and beauty professionals

● Ensure brand consistency in messaging, voice, and aesthetics across all platforms

Required Skills:

● 2-3 years producing short-form social video content for a beauty/lifestyle brand either with

in-house, agency, or as an independent creator

● Has a sharp eye for trends, and knows how to balance brand voice with internet culture

● Compelling storyteller with strong copy and communication skills

● Ability to multitask, prioritize projects, and communicate progress under tight deadlines

● Should be comfortable interpreting data, comprehending analytics based on qualitative and

quantitative data

● Maintain an acute attention to detail with the ability to pick up on details before anyone else does

● Experience shooting on iPhone and editing in CapCut or similar

● Comfortable appearing on camera and serving as an on-screen representative of the brand

● Self-directed, fast-moving, reliable, and easy to collaborate with

Preferred:

● Bilingual (English/Spanish)

● Experience with Social Media Scheduling Tools, CapCut, and Google Suite

● Passion for beauty - haircare knowledge highly preferred
