Job Description


Overview:

The Marketing Associate is responsible for executing marketing strategies to promote the company and communicate to the employees. A creative, motivated, and process-oriented individual with strong communication and organizational skills is ideal for this position. This position is based in the Central Maryland area, is a work from home position, with regular travel to our office and surrounding areas (DC, Virginia.) This position reports directly to the Chief Experience Officer.


Duties include developing and maintaining a comprehensive social media content (heavy focus on Linkedin), coordinating and designing Nyla’s internal communications, such as company announcements, newsletters or magazines, and external communications and activities, such as events and podcast episodes, supporting the development and maintenance of Nyla’s website and social media presence, identifying and submitting for awards, and capturing content at company events.


Responsibilities:

  • Design, strategize, and implement content across social media platforms (primarily LinkedIn, YouTube) and internal communications.

  • Writing, editing and distributing content to be sent to employees regarding company news or events.

  • Build and manage the company’s social media profiles and presence, including LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and additional channels that may be deemed relevant.

  • Attend company events and company-sponsored events to capture content.

  • Track and submit for company awards.

  • Improve the company website based on company objectives.

  • Work to improve organic search engine performance and goal setting based on click-through rates, traffic, and conversions.

  • Develop and maintain communications plan, brand style guide, and social media calendar.

  • Collaborate with designers and internal experts to produce relevant content that meets the needs of our audience.

  • Strategize, plan and manage podcast episodes, and implement strategies for episode release.

  • Assist with event planning, such as site selection, marketing, negotiations, invitation development, and tracking follow-up activities to measure results of the event.

  • Measure, analyze, and report on communications performance.

  • Assist the Business Development team in the management of the CRM.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


The annual base salary range for this role is $50,000-$75,000 (USD) , which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.

  • Ability to support job demands, as needed, outside of standard business hours in order to complete requirements on time
  • U.S. Citizenship required due to government contract requirements
  • Local to the DMV area (hybrid or in-office as needed)


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or relevant field or with 2+ year(s) of experience.
