Marketing Associate & Multimedia Designer

Summary/Objective

Under the direction of the Director of Marketing, Communications and Operations, the Marketing Associate & Multimedia Designer is responsible for assisting with member communications on multiple channels, coordinating with various departments on graphic design and video editing, and assisting with events. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement marketing campaigns, design marketing collateral, and drive advertising revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as program and administrative support for the Director of Marketing, Communications and Operations.
  • Create engaging content for various marketing channels, including social media, email campaigns, website updates, and digital and printed materials.
  • Edit and enhance raw video footage so that it aligns with marketing and the needs of the Bar Association of Erie County and Erie Institute of Law.
  • Assist with creating, updating, and implementing communications to new and existing members.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of comprehensive marketing plans and strategies to promote our organization's mission, events, and initiatives.
  • Lay out the Bulletin and solicit advertisements.
  • Lay out and assist in the distribution of The Directory.
  • Manage social media accounts and calendar.
  • Manage weekly digital newsletter to membership.
  • Respond to member inquiries, requests, and feedback promptly, ensuring high levels of member satisfaction.
  • Attends staff meetings, events, and committee meetings as requested. Become familiar with members and help build relationships with members.
  • Problem solve with team on daily basis.
  • Conduct market research to identify marketing opportunities.
  • Maintain and strengthen the organization’s brand.

Job Skills & Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud software, especially Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Proficient in various video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro or similar.
  • Familiarity with popular email marketing platforms, such as Constant Contact and MailChimp.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Ability to create both digital and printed high quality content to support ads, social media, and general member engagement strategy,
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Flexible and adaptable; well-organized and adept at working to deadline.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Responsive and resourceful
  • Teamwork orientation; collaborator.
  • Knowledge of CMS platforms, such as WordPress, is preferred, but not required.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to propose innovative marketing and engagement ideas.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree; work experience in graphic design, marketing or communications, or closely related field. Experience in legal or professional services is a plus.
