As the Marketing & Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in amplifying organizational visibility, supporting membership and event growth, managing stakeholder outreach, and driving digital campaigns that attract sponsors, strategic partners, and high-quality audiences. The tasks are split up as follows:

Marketing:

  • Develop, execute, and manage integrated marketing campaigns aligned with business objectives and target audiences.
  • Oversee campaign planning, creative briefing, asset development and cross-channel delivery across digital, email, paid, and social channels.
  • Manage campaign performance tracking and optimization to improve engagement, conversion, and ROI.
  • Execute digital marketing programs including paid media (LinkedIn, Google Ads), SEO/SEM, and retargeting campaigns.
  • Manage email marketing initiatives - list segmentation, personalization, and performance analysis within HubSpot.
  • Lead social media strategy and execution to drive brand awareness and community engagement.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure consistency of brand, messaging, and execution quality.
  • Analyze and report on campaign performance metrics, sharing insights and recommendations to inform future efforts.

Sales:

  • Drive delegate acquisition efforts for DIA MEA meetings through structured outreach across key industry segments (pharma, biotech, medical devices, CROs, academia, and regulators).
  • Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline; manage lead qualifications, follow-ups, and conversions to meet monthly and event-specific registration targets.
  • Conduct systematic outreach via calls, emails, LinkedIn, and networking to generate interest and close registrations.
  • Identify and nurture high-potential accounts; map stakeholders and decision makers to accelerate conversions.
  • Collaborate closely with Program, Marketing, and Operations teams to align messaging, target lists, and delegate value propositions.
  • Track and report BD metrics including lead status, conversion rates, daily activity, and event-wise progress.
  • Representing DIA at industry events, webinars, or partner meetings to build visibility and generate leads.
  • Maintain updated CRM records, ensuring accurate data capture, contact history, and pipeline health.
  • Provide market insights, competitor intelligence, and customer feedback to strengthen future campaigns and event offerings.

To join us, you should have:

  • 5+ years of B2B and/or life sciences/tech marketing experience; B2B sales or conference/education industry sales experience preferred.

  • Proven ability to plan and execute multi-channel campaigns across email, social, paid search, and more.

  • Hands-on experience with HubSpot (or similar platforms) for marketing automation, workflows, reporting, and CRM management.

  • Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills, with excellent communication and high-volume outreach capability.

  • Data-driven marketer able to analyze performance, connect efforts to revenue, optimize spend, and manage budgets/forecasts.

  • Ability to support sales alignment through targeted enablement materials; proficiency in English.
