Marketing & Communication Specialist I

This role supports the Company’s global marketing and communications efforts in identifying and developing appropriate, integrated strategies to help create, promote, and strengthen awareness of L.B. Foster’s brand to key audiences.

Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

1. Serves as a point of contact for initiating work through the marketing and communications department. This work includes but is not limited to generating content and ideas to promote the Company through digital, social, print, media relations and internal communications.
2. Updates product information, content, and photos on the L.B. Foster website.
3. Helps to review, promote, and maintain our presence on social media.
4. Understands and develops/promotes sources of traffic to the website using Plausible Analytics, email, SEO, digital advertising, and social media marketing.
5. Supports in the review of all marketing, advertising, and communications projects and materials to ensure they uphold brand standards, are completed on time, and within budget.
6. Assists in targeted ad campaign execution in conjunction with sales and product leadership.
7. Creates and distributes quarterly corporate newsletter.
8. All other duties as assigned.

Experience, Education, & License Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field required
  • 6 months - 2 years of experience in a Marketing Department, Ad Agency, or related field
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in writing for content and marketing and creation of marketing and communication materials.
  • Competencies in the areas of digital advertising, social media, and content management.
  • Ability to present a prepared portfolio of examples supporting the above skills is plus.
