Maxx Impact Group is seeking a dynamic Marketing & Communications Designer to join our team. This specialist will be assigned to a dedicated client and will support a wide range of strategic marketing and communications initiatives.
This role operates with an “agency approach” — collaborating, facilitating, and coordinating across internal teams, client representatives, industry partners, and community stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a multi-functional creative professional with strong graphic design expertise, technical production knowledge, and the ability to translate strategy into compelling visual and written communications.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Email Marketing Campaigns
- Build a project’s content strategy; create targeted and relevant content; and distribute marketing communications to audiences online.
- Produce, design, proofread, edit, and distribute a monthly e-newsletter (including multi-page layouts developed in Adobe InDesign as needed).
- Conduct interviews, audience research, and surveys to inform content development.
- Add and segment subscribers; manage and regularly refresh distribution lists.
- Design original graphics, infographics, charts, and visual assets using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Optimize images and content for email performance (resolution, file size, color space, accessibility).
- Track analytics to measure success and adapt campaigns; analyze key digital marketing metrics.
- Ensure ADA and CAN-SPAM compliance.
Marketing & Communications
- Develop and execute integrated marketing communications plans for the company and assigned clients.
- Create original campaign concepts and produce cohesive materials across print and digital platforms.
- Prepare bid invitations and maintain bid invitation lists.
- Promote brand and event identity through professionally designed print collateral, signage, wayfinding materials, and digital advertisements.
- Create event presentations and branded materials using Adobe Creative Suite and presentation platforms.
- Manage on-site audio-visual coordination and virtual presentation platforms.
- Draft and design press releases and public announcements.
- Collaborate on social media marketing (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn), including optimized graphic assets tailored for each platform.
- Take, edit, and optimize photos for use in promotional materials, reports, and presentations (understanding resolution requirements for both print and web).
Presentations & Proposals
- Design high-impact presentations for outreach events, trade shows, corporate briefings, and government stakeholders.
- Develop executive summaries, capability statements, and proposal materials using Adobe InDesign for professional multi-page document layout.
- Apply advanced typography, grid systems, brand consistency, and production-ready formatting in proposal and report design.
- Assist in the design and production of RFP, RFQ, and SOQ responses, ensuring documents meet both aesthetic and print-ready technical specifications.
- Oversee branding consistency and layout standards across all program initiatives.
Brand Management
- Maintain and enforce graphic standards across marketing collateral, apparel, documents, and presentations.
- Ensure brand consistency across both print and digital channels.
- Create and manage digital assets, including resumes, media kits, business cards, social templates, and branded document systems.
- Prepare production-ready files for vendors, demonstrating understanding of:
- Color space (CMYK vs. RGB)
- Image resolution (DPI requirements for print vs. digital)
- Bleeds, margins, trim, and print specifications
- File optimization for digital performance
- Collaborate with leadership to communicate brand ethos, mission, and tone consistently.
- Assist in monitoring and updating websites with optimized content.
- Research market trends to inform strategic marketing decisions.
Reporting
- Manage project databases to ensure efficient information sharing and collaboration.
- Prepare visually compelling quarterly, monthly, and biweekly reports using professional layout standards.
- Develop branded progress reports and historical data logs in Adobe InDesign where appropriate.
- Maintain stakeholder contact databases and communication calendars.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of demonstrated experience in marketing, digital communications, or integrated communications.
- Professional proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign.
- Demonstrated experience designing multi-page documents (proposals, reports, executive summaries, newsletters) in InDesign.
- Strong understanding of:
- Optimization for digital platforms
- Image resolution and DPI standards
- Color spaces (RGB vs. CMYK)
- Preparing files for both print production and digital distribution
- Experience producing materials for both print and digital environments.
- Strong writing, editing, and content development skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail, creativity, and project management capabilities.
- Strong analytical and data-driven mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with diverse community engagement and stakeholder collaboration.
- Professional demeanor and flexibility to travel locally and attend events as needed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, or related field.
- Experience in construction, transportation, aviation, infrastructure, or A/E industry communications preferred.
- Experience developing digital media strategies and managing multi-channel campaigns.
- Experience with website content management and email marketing platforms.
- Strong collaboration skills with experience contributing to team-based process improvement initiatives.
- Ability to balance creative design excellence with structured systems and scalable processes.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Adobe Creative Suite (Advanced proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign required)
- Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams)
- MailChimp, Eventbrite, JotForm, or similar marketing platforms
- Social media management and scheduling tools
- Print production workflows and vendor coordination
- Digital asset management systems
