Position Overview: Are you a creative force with a passion for storytelling and event planning? Do you have the skills to amplify our mission and make our events unforgettable? If so, we want you as our Marketing, Communications & Events Manager! This role is all about expanding our brand reach, creating compelling visual stories, and managing impactful events.
Your Mission (Should You Choose to Accept It): You'll be the architect of our brand narrative, reporting to our Chief Development Officer in beautiful Naples, FL. Your passion for education as a catalyst for change will drive everything you do.
Your Impact Will Be Measured By:
  • 45% - Expanding our brand reach and recognition
  • 30% - Creating compelling visual stories through graphic design
  • 15% - Making our events unforgettable
  • 10% - Development of annual newsletters, appeals, and impact reports
What You'll Bring to the Table:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 2 years of marketing, PR, and graphic design experience
  • Mastery of InDesign, Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, and digital marketing platforms
  • Storytelling skills across multiple channels
  • A vehicle and clean driving record (events and community outreach demand mobility!)
A Day in Your Life Might Include:
  • Crafting the perfect press release that lands us front-page coverage
  • Designing visual content that stops people mid-scroll
  • Building relationships with local media personalities
  • Managing our digital presence across platforms
  • Managing major events annually, plus adding your own new flair to keep existing events fresh
  • Creating communications that inspire donors and program participants alike
Beyond the Desk: This role requires occasional evenings and weekends. You'll be the face of Grace Place at community events, speaker engagements, and fundraisers.
Responsibilities/Duties:
  • Manage marketing, public relations, advertising, and social media, including the development, creation, implementation, and distribution of printed and electronic communications and website content
  • Regular interaction with local media
  • Consistent and regular communication of the mission and program needs to all constituents
  • Develop donor and sponsor communications
  • Develop parent and student communications
  • Manage marketing and public relations budgets
  • Provide assistance in securing event donations
  • Manage marketing database – use of MailChimp and SurveyMonkey
  • Develop and implement marketing plans
  • Coordinate and develop speaking engagements as well as outreach and public events

  • Management of information, including data gathering, secure filing, and records retention
  • Knowledge of organizational policies and procedures
  • Applicable safety requirements of the position
  • Organize workload to meet project timelines and deadlines
  • Ability to work well alone or as part of a team
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to establish rapport and interact with diverse groups of people

Organizational Responsibilities:
  • Attend and participate in relevant staff and/or board and committee meetings
  • Participate in staff development activities/trainings needed to complete job duties or as required
  • Develop and maintain positive, effective working relationships with fellow staff, volunteers, and board members
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Computer and Equipment Skills:
  • Experience with InDesign, Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, Google Docs, and electronic communication platforms and social media applications
  • Digital marketing expertise - social media management, content strategy and creation, audience engagement – photography and video
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel programs, internet, email, Access, and computer skills
Physical Job Requirements:
  • Sit at a computer station or work desk for most of some days
  • Stand in one position or walk short distances throughout the day
  • Frequently stand and walk to other workstations and departments throughout the day, including moving up and down stairs, or giving tours on campus
  • Use hands and fingers to handle perishable and nonperishable food and other donated items, operate computers, keyboards, and office equipment throughout the day
  • Clear communication face-to-face and via telephone
  • May lift up to 30 pounds often and carry for short distances; may need to lift items from ground level to waist level
Minimum Qualifications/Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing, social media, and graphic design

Background Screening Requirement
All applicants must successfully complete required State and National background screening as a condition of employment prior to beginning work at Grace Place for Children and Families. Screening is conducted in accordance with applicable Florida law, including Chapter 435, Florida Statutes, and, when applicable, Chapter 408, Florida Statutes.

Background screening includes fingerprinting for FDLE and FBI criminal history checks and review through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse. Employment is contingent upon receipt, review, and approval of screening results.
