POSITION SUMMARY

The Marketing & Communications Manager is responsible for leading and executing all internal and external marketing and communications efforts for the organization. This role plays a critical part in shaping how ASAP shows up in the market: strengthening brand awareness, supporting growth, engaging prospects, and driving demand through clear, consistent, and credible communication.

Reporting into senior leadership, this position blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution. The ideal candidate is both a leader and a doer: someone who can set direction, develop people, and deliver high-quality work that advances company goals.

This role pays 75-82K and offers a full array of benefits to include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k). This role is hybrid but we would prefer someone who is close to travel distance from our office in Cockeysville, MD.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Marketing Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a small marketing team, fostering high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a working manager, contributing directly to day-to-day marketing execution while guiding strategic priorities.
  • Translate business objectives into integrated marketing strategies that support growth across all business segments.
  • Act as a culture leader by modeling ASAP’s AIMs and reinforcing a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

Brand, Messaging & Content

  • Own and evolve ASAP’s brand presence across digital, print, and experiential channels, ensuring consistency and professionalism.
  • Develop a deep understanding of target audiences and craft messaging that resonates with both professional stakeholders and consumers.
  • Conceptualize, write, and edit compelling marketing materials including website content, blogs, newsletters, social media, and thought leadership.
  • Manage and evolve ASAP’s website, blog, SEO strategy, and learning platforms.

Digital Marketing & Performance

  • Lead digital marketing efforts, including paid media (Google Ads), content marketing, and web optimization to drive engagement and inbound demand.
  • Analyze marketing performance, report insights, and continuously refine strategies based on data and results.
  • Develop and maintain tracking tools to measure ROI and deliver clear, monthly performance reporting.

Collaboration, Operations & Growth Enablement

  • Partner closely with internal teams to understand product offerings, regulatory updates, and communication needs.
  • Manage vendors and external partners, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, brand alignment, and show/report ROI in results.
  • Support sales growth through marketing initiatives tied to training programs, CEUs, events, and web traffic.
  • Lead conference, exhibition, and industry event planning, including materials, presentations, and logistics.
  • Contribute to proposal development and RFP responses with clear, persuasive, and timely content.


EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field (or equivalent experience), preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • 4–5 years of experience leading and executing successful marketing and communications programs.
  • Strong background in digital marketing strategy, platforms, and analytics.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid grasp of design principles and content creation tools.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong judgment, problem-solving skills, and the ability to distill complex ideas into clear messaging.
  • Experience managing staff, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Proficiency with content management systems (specifically WordPress).

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This is a remote position requiring a dedicated, professional home-office environment. Candidates located near the corporate office may occasionally be asked to attend meetings, trainings, or support conferences and events. The role involves handling confidential information, including PHI, and requires strict adherence to privacy, security, and remote work policies.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Be stationary for extended hours at a time, 7-8 hours of the workday.
  • Perform repetitive tasks with few breaks throughout the day.
  • Repetitive typing and communicating.
  • Utilize desk phone/cell phone.
  • Occasional moving
