Marketing Communications Manager

Personal Qualifications

Credentials

● A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.

● Minimum 3 years’ experience in public relations, media relations, and content creation

● Experience in non-profit fundraising, event planning, and donor relations preferred

Job Summary

The Manager of Marketing & Communications develops and implements communication strategies to elevate the school’s brand, manages community perception, and institutional reputation. This individual will be responsible for creating compelling, narrative content in all its forms, managing internal and external communication, and supporting promotional efforts that reflect the school’s mission and values.

Skills & Qualifications:

● Passion for education and alignment with the mission and values of CCA.

● An innate, proactive curiosity for the stakeholder experience, customer journey, and CCA brand differentiation.

● Highly organized with strong diligence and ability to manage multiple projects at once.

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

● Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

● Strong creative and visual storytelling skills with experience in photography, videography, and graphic design.

● Proficiency with digital design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and social media platforms.

● Understanding and proficiency with common AI-assisted platforms and their application to daily work product quality enhancements and efficiency.

● Willingness to travel locally for events outside of standard work hours and assist with physical setup (banners, signage, merchandise, etc.).

Key Responsibilities:

Collaboration & Support

o Work closely with the Head of School and CCA Senior Administrators to develop and execute marketing and communications strategies.

o Assist with school events, initiatives, and special projects

Marketing Strategy & Research

o Proactively research and identify marketing opportunities to broaden CCA’s reach in the community and beyond.

o Stay current with marketing trends, tools, and strategies to help CCA stand out in the private school landscape.

Content Creation & Digital Marketing

o Proficient in optimizing, managing performance of, and reporting on CCA’s digital footprint, including the master website and essential social media channels.

o Design and produce digital content, including graphics, photos, videos, reels, and ads to promote CCA across various platforms.

o Manage the creation of advertisements and promotional campaigns to increase brand exposure and community engagement.

o Ensure all content aligns with CCA’s brand guidelines, voice, and Christian mission.

School Communications

o Support school-wide communication efforts, including the weekly school newsletter, division-wide emails, and text alerts for parents and faculty.

o Collaborate with school leadership to ensure clear, timely, and effective messaging to families.

Merchandise & Promotional Materials

o Assist with the design and production of school merchandise, spirit shirts, banners, signage, and other promotional materials.

Physical Demands/Work Environment

The physical demands outlined below represent those required for an employee to effectively carry out the essential duties of this position.

● Prolonged periods of sitting.

● Constant operation of a computer, tablet, and mobile phone.

● Ability to communicate clearly in person or over the telephone is essential.

● Moderate mental effort and decision-making complexity with limited breaks.

● Specific vision abilities required include close vision to read printed material and computer screen, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

● Frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, bend, twist, and climb.

● Occasional lifting and carrying of objects, up to 20-30 lbs.

● Ability to withstand some outdoor events or work in various weather conditions.
