Marketing Communications Specialist

BASIC JOB SUMMARY:

The Marketing Communications Specialist supports the execution and coordination of marketing initiatives by owning copy development, scheduling, internal communication flow, and campaign logistics. This role ensures campaigns are communicated clearly, executed on time, and supported across teams while maintaining strong messaging consistency across markets and channels. The Specialist plays a key role in coordinating campaign execution across multiple platforms and markets, helping ensure alignment between marketing, sales, and community initiatives. The Marketing Communications Specialist collaborates closely with the Marketing Manager and Integrated Marketing Designer to support campaign execution, communication efforts, and marketing operations. This role contributes to the efficiency and scalability of the marketing department by maintaining organization, visibility, and coordination across all marketing activities.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Writes and adapts marketing copy for email campaigns, website content, print materials, digital advertisements, and internal communications to support marketing initiatives across residential and business markets
  • Drafts and coordinates customer communications, including service notifications, updates, and operational announcements, ensuring clarity and alignment with company messaging standards
  • Coordinates the execution of marketing campaigns across channels including email, digital advertising, social media, and market-specific initiatives
  • Maintains and manages a centralized marketing calendar tracking campaign launches, optimizations, email communications, community events, sponsorships, and market-specific marketing activities
  • Assists with campaign set-up and execution within marketing platforms such as HubSpot, Google Ads, and Meta Ads, supporting the building and launching of digital and email campaigns
  • Develops working knowledge of campaign performance across platforms to maintain visibility in email activity, digital advertising, market campaigns, construction communications, and overall marketing funnel progression
  • Performs campaign quality assurance (QA) to ensure messaging accuracy, proper timing, and execution consistency prior to campaign launch
  • Contributes campaign ideas and promotional concepts after onboarding, supporting the development of quarterly marketing initiatives and identifying opportunities to improve campaign performance and engagement
  • Maintains awareness of campaign progress across markets and proactively communicates updates, gaps, and opportunities to the marketing team
  • Coordinates press releases and media submissions, maintains media contact lists, and supports outreach efforts to local media partners
  • Manages advertising placements, schedules, and vendor deadlines, and serves as a liaison with media vendors and partners as needed
  • Coordinates marketing activities related to vendor-supported products and partner programs and serves as the marketing point of contact for communication and promotions
  • Serves as a point of contact for internal marketing requests, gathering necessary information, routing requests appropriately, and supporting communication between marketing, sales, and other departments
  • Maintains organized marketing content libraries, including campaign messaging, finalized assets, and marketing materials, ensuring teams have access to current and approved resources
  • Supports event logistics and marketing communications for community engagement activities, partnerships, and sponsorships, and assists with marketing support for local events as needed

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Assists the marketing department with special projects, campaigns, and promotional initiatives as needed
  • Provides support for internal communications and company-wide initiatives
  • Supports other departments with approved marketing and communication requests aligned with company priorities
  • Other duties as assigned, and as are relevant to the position

Job Qualifications:

Education/Experience – Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field preferred. Equivalent professional experience may be considered. One (1) to four (4) years of experience in marketing, communications, or campaign coordination is preferred.


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities – Requires strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to adapt messaging across multiple platforms and audiences. Familiarity with digital marketing platforms such as Google Ads, Meta Ads, and marketing automation systems such as HubSpot is preferred. Must demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Requires the ability to communicate effectively across departments and work independently with minimal supervision. Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving ability are essential.
