Located in Dekalb, IL, Wehrli Custom Fabrication is a small but rapidly growing family owned and operated company specializing in the manufacture of high-performance diesel truck components and custom metal fabrication. Our continuing growth provides a special opportunity for the right person who wants to build professional expertise with a developing company. At WCFab we are a team-playing group of individuals that take great pride in our reputation for providing the highest quality fabricated parts MADE IN THE USA.

In addition to our metal fabrication, we have a top-of-the-line CNC Machining Department, Powder Coating Services, and Installation division which handles the installation of our product as well as general maintenance and repair on light duty diesel trucks. To aid in the expansion of our product line and manufacturing capabilities, we have relocated (still in DeKalb) to a newly constructed state-of-the-art, climate-controlled, 112,000 sq ft facility as of January 2022.

Position Summary and Responsibilities

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Marketing Content Creator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong writing, editing, and multimedia production skills, with a proven ability to create engaging content that aligns with our WCFAB brand and marketing objectives. You will be responsible for developing and executing a content strategy that drives audience engagement and generates brand growth. The role often involves a combination of creative and technical skills, working across various platforms like blogs, social media, email and websites.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Content development: Research, write, and produce various content formats, including blog posts, social media captions, video scripts, case studies, and email marketing copy.
  • Content strategy: Help develop and manage a content calendar to ensure a consistent and timely stream of content across all channels.
  • SEO optimization: Conduct keyword research and implement SEO best practices to increase organic traffic and improve content visibility.
  • Social media management: Create and publish content for social media platforms, monitor engagement, and track key metrics.
  • Multimedia production: Create or assist with the production of visual content, including graphics, short-form videos, and image editing, using tools like Adobe Creative Suite or Canva.
  • Collaboration: Work with marketing, design, and other internal teams to ensure content is cohesive, on-brand, and aligned with overall business goals.
  • Performance analysis: Monitor and report on content performance using analytics tools to refine strategies and identify new opportunities.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Experience: Proven work experience as a Content Creator, Content Writer, or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful content creation.
  • Writing and editing: Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for grammar and style.
  • Technical skills: Proficiency with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress, and experience with design or video editing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Final Cut Pro).
  • SEO knowledge: Familiarity with SEO principles and keyword research tools.
  • Creative mindset: The ability to develop fresh, creative content ideas and adapt to new trends and technologies.
  • Soft skills: Strong time management, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Job Type: Full time, M-F

Pay Scale: Salary $50,000-$60,000 per year
