Our boutique event management and strategic communications firm is seeking a highly skilled and motivated part-time Marketing Content Specialist to support our growth efforts. Under the guidance of the Communications Director, the Marketing Content Specialist manages day-to-day content production, copywriting, and social media execution. This role develops written content for website updates, social media posts, newsletters, capability statements, and marketing collateral. The Marketing Content Specialist oversees the posting schedule, assists with SEO optimization, drafts communications materials, and supports ongoing content administration. This position ensures consistent message delivery, timely posting, and alignment with client approved messaging framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop content and copy for social media, website updates, newsletters, and marketing materials.
- Manage the social media content calendar, posting schedule, and engagement workflows.
- Write and prepare posts for LinkedIn and other platforms, including captions, alt text, and hashtags.
- Assist with search engine optimization (SEO) including metadata, tags, and keyword alignment.
- Draft standard internal and external communications materials including email campaigns and announcements.
- Lead administrative tasks such as file management, content uploads, and documentation.
- Track analytics for social media performance and contribute to monthly reporting.
- Coordinate with the Communications Director to ensure message accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborate with the Senior Designer to match visual content with written content needs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in area of expertise.
- Strong copywriting skills, with ability to craft concise and engaging content for professional audiences.
- Hands-on experience managing LinkedIn and other social media platforms for organization.
- Ability to manage editorial calendars, posting workflows, hashtags, alt text, and engagement activities.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices including metadata, keywords, tagging, and basic analytics review.
- Experience performing routine updates to websites or CMS platforms.
- Ability to support both creative production and administrative tasks such as file management, uploads, and documentation.
- Comfortable collaborating with design and communications teams to align visuals and messaging.
- Experience generating basic analytics reports and supporting performance summaries.
- Experience supporting tribal, public sector, or government-adjacent organizations preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex information from various sources and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and CRM systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
