Position Overview:

The Marketing Coordinator role is a cross-functional position that drives results through creativity, organization, and strategic execution. This role collaborates with stakeholders by assisting in the planning, creation, and execution of various marketing campaigns across multiple channels that drive engagement and support business initiatives. With an energetic and curious attitude, this individual will serve as a creative professional who is capable of utilizing strong communication, design, and project management skills to meet immediate and long-term business objectives. The Marketing Coordinator is expected to bring ingenuity, organization, and a passion for managing multi-channel initiatives to every challenge.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Campaign Execution & Coordination:
    • Assist with the development, implementation, and monitoring of marketing campaigns across digital (email, social media, SEO/SEM), content, and traditional channels.
    • Ensure all marketing efforts adhere to brand guidelines and serve to achieve established objectives.
  • Content & Communications:
    • Create and update marketing materials and digital content for B2C and B2B audiences.
    • Assist in the creation, proofreading, and editing of original marketing content (e.g., website copy, social media posts, email newsletters, presentations).
    • Draft clear product marketing copy and promotional materials.
    • Communicate campaign objectives, timelines, and deliverables to internal stakeholders, including the sales team.
  • Project & Administrative Management:
    • Maintain an inventory and directory of sales support materials, ensuring all resources are current and accurate.
    • Support the development and maintenance of internal marketing tools.
    • Coordinate with external vendors and internal departments to ensure smooth project execution.


Education and/or experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Experience: 3+ years of proven work experience in a marketing coordination or similar role.


Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
None.

Technical Skills:

  • Solid knowledge of traditional and digital marketing techniques, including content marketing and social media.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud apps including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Familiarity with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and CMS (Content Management System) tools is a plus.
  • Fast learning and ability to work interchangeably with a variety of digital tools.
  • Proficiency in content design and information architecture, ensuring all content is structured logically, easily digestible, and aligns with user experience objectives.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk, and listen. The employee is required to operate a keyboard, calculators, computer mouse, and other office equipment requiring manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works indoors. The noise level in the work environment is low. The employee performs work in an office environment with several other team members.

Location/Hours:
In-office (Grand Rapids, MI) or hybrid work arrangements are available for this role. A hybrid schedule is available after a 90-day training period. Hybrid work typically involves 2-3 days per week in the Grand Rapids office, to be determined with the Marketing Manager. Full-time, salaried.
