General Position Description:

The Marketing Coordinator plays a vital role in advancing the mission of the organization by overseeing branding, social media, website maintenance, community relations, and fundraising support. This position ensures consistent messaging and visibility across all platforms, strengthens donor and community engagement and helps drive fundraising success. The Marketing Coordinator also partners with department leaders to support their unique marketing needs and serve as a visible representative of the organization at community events.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

Branding & Communications

  • Ensure consistency of the organization’s brand, message, and design across all communication channels.
  • Develop print and digital marketing materials to promote programs, fundraising events, and community initiatives.
  • Establish brand guidelines and oversee their implementation across internal teams and external partners.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to identify, plan, and execute marketing strategies that support their specific program needs.

Social Media & Digital Presence

  • Manage and grow organizational social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, etc.) to expand audience reach and engagement.
  • Create original, mission-driven content, including stories of impact, donor spotlights, and event highlights.
  • Monitor analytics and provide regular reports on growth, engagement, and digital reach.

Website Maintenance

  • Oversee day-to-day website updates, ensuring content is current, accurate, and engaging.
  • Collaborate with staff to post news updates, events, impact stories, and donor recognition pieces.
  • Optimize website for user experience, accessibility, and mobile responsiveness.
  • Track website performance to inform future improvements.

Community Relations & Events

  • Build and sustain relationships with local businesses, nonprofits, media outlets, and civic organizations.
  • Coordinate, track, and attend community events to raise brand awareness and promote programs and services.
  • Represent the organization at outreach activities, fostering goodwill and generating new partnerships and sponsorships.
  • Develop community awareness campaigns and outreach initiatives to enhance visibility.

Fundraising & Development Support

  • Support annual giving campaigns, donor stewardship efforts, and special fundraising events.
  • Coordinate marketing components of grant proposals and sponsorship packages.
  • Collaborate with development staff to ensure campaigns reach target donor segments.
  • Assist in donor communications, including newsletters, thank-you letters, and impact reports.

General Knowledge and Skills Required for Position:

· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with clients, staff, and community partners.

· Ability to develop relationships with community stakeholders and partners.

· Excellent organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

· Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and organizational privacy standards.

· Professional demeanor with a client-centered, compassionate approach.

Preferred and Minimum Position Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Nonprofit Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).

· 2+ years of experience in nonprofit marketing, fundraising, or communications.

· Proficiency with social media platforms, analytics tools, and content management systems (WordPress, Squarespace, or similar).

· Strong writing, editing, and public speaking skills with the ability to communicate mission-driven stories.

· Knowledge of donor engagement and fundraising best practices.

· Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
