Marketing Coordinator

SUMMARY: Responsible for the advertising and public relations efforts of the Arizona Aerospace Foundation (AAF), which consists of the Pima Air & Space Museum, the Titan Missile Museum and the Tucson Military Vehicle Museum.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Responsible for Pima Air & Space Museum, the Titan Missile Museum and the Tucson Military Vehicle Museum advertising locally, regionally, nationally and internationally by performing activities such as developing an advertising plan, media buys, community outreach, networking, development of advertising and membership collateral and other activities to generate public interest in the museum.

· Responsible for managing all museum(s) social media accounts and postings in collaboration with other museum staff to develop content.

· Responsible for coordinating with the CEO, setting program and advertising goals, maintaining foundation branding initiatives and development of new opportunities.

· Responsible for maintaining the oversight of the website and communicating as necessary with the web hosting company.

· Responsible for providing oversight and analysis of all creative museum marketing and advertising content, digital and physical, evaluating the success of the Foundation's communications strategy and recommend improvement strategies if necessary.

· Responsible for collaborating with other AAF staff to facilitate third-party media requests for their projects at the Pima Air & Space Museum, the Titan Missile Museum and the Tucson Military Vehicle Museum, including negotiating contracts and release agreements as necessary.

· Responsible for creating and managing in collaboration with staff and museum partners for the creation of content to generate museum physical and digital publications such as the newsletter, monthly e-mail updates to the membership, visitor satisfaction surveys, the annual meeting report, and other visual advertising materials as required

· Responsible for creating and developing graphic designs and web-based layouts for digital and print advertising, including logos, event materials, and various marketing assets. Work with relevant departmental staff to effectively advertise all museum special events to local southern Arizona audience.

· Responsible for exercising oversight and implementing of all digital advertising strategies and work with vendors and partners where necessary to ensure effective SEO optimization, Google Grant management, use analytical tools to ensure best value and results from our digital strategies.

· Responsible for interacting with all museum guests, employees, community partners and vendors and volunteers in a friendly and professional manner.

· Responsible for other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.
  • Must have strong and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have effective photography, videography and editing abilities.
  • Must be willing to learn about aerospace technology and history to support AAF advertising objectives
  • Must have demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Must be able to exercise independent judgment and reasoning skills.
  • Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Windows, etc.)
  • Must have ability to create basic graphic design and web based layouts including but not limited to new letters, websites and print and digital advertising.
  • Must have exceptional planning and organizational skills to complete work that requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Must be able to work in a complex environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
  • Must have the ability to work after normal office hours and overtime given sufficient notice.
  • Prior experience in the museum/science center, hospitality or communications industry would be valued.
  • Prior experience with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite would be valued.

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
