Marketing Coordinator

Position Summary:

The Marketing Coordinator plays a key role in supporting United Way of Cass Clay’s brand, marketing campaigns, and communications. This role facilitates the execution of marketing projects and tasks, recommendation of tactics, creation of design materials, and ownership of online and social media presence.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, creative, and eager to coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Campaign & Project Coordination

• Support planning, execution, and optimization of annual marketing campaigns.
• Coordinate project timelines, deliverables, and workflows with internal teams and external partners.
• Ensure brand consistency and accuracy across all materials.

Web & Social Media Management

• Update webpages, landing pages, and event information using CMS tools.
• Monitor web analytics to support continuous improvement.
• Plan, create, and schedule social posts that align with brand voice and campaign goals.
• Track engagement metrics, recommend improvements, monitor trends and identify opportunities for storytelling.

Brand & Creative Support

• Maintain asset libraries and brand guidelines.
• Assist with rudimentary graphic design as needed (basic content creation, resizing images, preparing files for production).
• Coordinate with vendors for printing, photography, and design/video projects.

Event & Community Engagement Support

• Support marketing needs for events, including registration pages, promotional materials, signage, and on-site content capture.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Graphic Design, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 1–5 years of marketing, communications, or digital content experience.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Technology/Marketing Tools

• Experience managing social media platforms for a brand or organization (Sprout, Hootsuite, CoSchedule, or similar).
• Understanding of analytics tools (Google Analytics, social platform insights).
• Basic familiarity with CMS tools (WordPress or similar).
• Basic design skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar).
• Knowledge of email marketing software (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or similar).

Performance Acumen

• Demonstrates efficient project management/organizational skills (experience with project management software – Asana, Monday.com, or similar).
• Ability to communicate effectively and articulately in writing and speaking.
• Ability to proactively work independently.
• Consistent delivery of exemplary customer service and communication to a diverse audience in all donor, volunteer, and team interactions.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of classified information.

Workplace Duties

• Good vision, speech, and hearing acuity (with glasses and speaking/hearing aids if necessary).
• Physical exertion includes bending, pushing, standing, and walking.
• Must be able to move or lift approximately 25 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to work outside of an office environment and travel to appointments.
• Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
