Marketing Coordinator

STARR Restaurants is presently seeking a Marketing Coordinator who has a true passion for the restaurant industry and evolving food scene.
The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for driving marketing initiatives and campaigns across STARR
Restaurants’ DC and NYC concepts. This role plays a key part in campaign ideation and execution, contributing to the development of creative, effective marketing initiatives. The Marketing Coordinator oversees campaigns, events, email marketing, and social media as needed, while partnering closely with internal teams, restaurant operators, and external partners to ensure consistent, high-quality output. This role reports directly to the Senior Marketing Manager.

Responsibilities:
  • Owns marketing initiatives for assigned restaurants across DC and NYC
  • Develops and executes:
    • Campaigns and marketing initiatives
    • Email marketing (copywriting and content development)
    • Event planning, logistics, and promotion
  • Manages social media for assigned restaurants as needed, including:
    • Content planning and caption writing in brand voice
    • Posting and scheduling content, or supporting execution with interns when applicable
  • Serves as primary marketing partner to restaurant teams, working directly with operators to support ongoing needs and initiatives
  • Collaborates with PR agencies and external partners to share updates, assets, and key information
Content & Photography:
  • Supports content creation across assigned restaurants, including light photography as needed
    (iPhone or DSLR)
  • Oversees freelance photographers and photoshoots, ensuring deliverables are on brief and on
    brand
  • Partners with internal creative teams to execute campaign assets
Execution & Ownership:
  • Manages multiple projects and timelines simultaneously, balancing both self-directed work and team-driven initiatives
  • Owns timelines and deliverables while executing against direction from the Senior Marketing Manager
  • Maintains strong organization across campaigns, events, and content calendars
  • Ensures projects are delivered on time and at a high standard
Collaboration:
  • Works cross-functionally with:
    • Internal marketing team
    • Restaurant teams and operators
    • Creative (production and design) teams
    • PR agencies and external partners
  • Builds strong, professional relationships across stakeholders
Communication & Professionalism:
  • Presents marketing ideas, campaign concepts, and updates clearly and confidently
  • Maintains a professional, solutions-oriented demeanor
  • Communicates proactively and constructively
  • Represents the marketing team positively across all interactions
Industry Awareness:
  • Stays current on trends in hospitality, marketing, and social media
  • Identifies and brings forward relevant ideas and opportunities
  • Applies insights to campaigns, content, and restaurant initiatives
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in a marketing role
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Experience supporting campaigns, events, and social media
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines in a fast-paced environment
  • Interest in hospitality, food & beverage, and restaurant marketing
