Role Overview
We are looking for a creative, motivated, and detail-oriented Marketing Coordinator to join our growing marketing team. This is a junior-level, full-time position ideal for someone who is eager to build hands-on marketing experience in a meaningful, mission-driven environment. You will support the team across a range of day-to-day marketing activities, including graphic design, social media, content writing, and general marketing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and produce graphics for digital and print use, including social media, email campaigns, event materials, and web assets
- Manage and schedule content across NFCR’s social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, and others)
- Monitor social media engagement, respond to comments and messages, and track performance metrics
- Write, edit, and publish blog posts, newsletter content, and website copy that communicate NFCR’s mission and research updates
- Assist in the development and execution of email marketing campaigns
- Support campaign planning and coordination with other team members
- Participate in marketing team meetings, contributing ideas and tracking action items
- Help maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity across all channels
- Assist with other marketing and communications projects as needed
What We’re Looking For
- A strong portfolio or examples of design work, writing samples, or social media management (can include academic or personal projects)
- Proficiency with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva
- Familiarity with social media platforms and scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, or similar)
- Strong written communication skills with an eye for grammar and storytelling
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- A collaborative, team-first attitude and genuine enthusiasm for NFCR’s mission
- Basic knowledge of email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact, HubSpot) is a plus
- Experience with WordPress or other CMS platforms is a plus
- A degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field is helpful, but equivalent experience and a strong portfolio are equally valued.
Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
