Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail oriented individual with a commitment to a mission. The Marketing Coordinator will develop and implement engaging marketing materials that promote STEM education to children, families and school groups. Working collaboratively with our marketing committee and museum staff, this individual will lead content creation, managed social media platforms, coordinate marketing schedules and drive community engagement efforts that reflect the museum's mission to inspire curiosity and critical thinking.
Responsibilities
- Design visually appealing graphics and multimedia content within our brand guidelines
- Develop and implement content strategies for social media platforms
- Foster positive relationships with museum's audience through engaging and interactive content.
- Analyze performance metrics
- Send out bi-weekly newsletter
- Update and maintain museum's website with fresh, relevant content
- Update calendar content, including blog posts, event information and multimedia elements.
- Manage photography and video content across all platforms
- Develop educational and promotional materials to enhance visitor learning
- Work with marketing committee to create and implement strategic marketing plan
Experience
- Associate's degree or an undergraduate degree in Digital Media, Marketing, Communications or a related field; or 2 years of proven experience in digital marketing or content creation
- Hands-on experience with content creation, copywriting, and social media management across multiple platforms.
- Familiarity with WordPress for website updates and blog management.
- Experience with graphic design to produce visual assets for campaigns. Including experience in Canva.
- Ability to analyze performance metrics using analytics tools to optimize campaigns for better results.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Creative mindset with strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
