Position Summary
Laundry Basket Quilts is seeking a creative, organized, and self-motivated Marketing Coordinator to support our growing quilting and fabric business. This role is responsible for developing and executing marketing content across multiple channels, including email newsletters, social media, website content, product photography, and printed promotional materials.
The ideal candidate combines strong marketing fundamentals with graphic design, content creation, photography, and project management skills. This position works closely with our team to promote new products, featured collections, quilt retreats, sales promotions, and educational offerings.
Pay Based on Experience
Key Responsibilities
- Create and distribute 5–7 email newsletters per week.
- Design engaging email layouts using images, product links, and promotional content.
- Develop and schedule social media content across Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, and other platforms.
- Photograph fabrics, kits, patterns, quilts, and merchandise for use on the website, social media, newsletters, and print materials.
- Edit and optimize images for digital and print use.
- Create and update product listings, descriptions, images, and promotional content.
- Design flyers, brochures, retreat materials, signage, and promotional handouts.
- Collaborate with team members to determine featured products based on inventory, new product launches, promotions, and clearance opportunities.
- Maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity across all channels.
- Support marketing campaigns, special events, and quilt retreats.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in marketing, digital marketing, content creation, graphic design, communications, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Preferred Skills
- Canva proficiency.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, InDesign) preferred.
- Product photography experience.
- Email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Klaviyo, Constant Contact, or similar).
- Website content management systems (Shopify, WordPress, or similar).
- Basic understanding of SEO and e-commerce merchandising.
- Microsoft Office and Google Workspace proficiency.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to work occasional in-person days at the Camarillo office for product photography, team collaboration, and special projects.
- Interest in quilting, sewing, crafting, fabric arts, or creative hobbies is highly desirable.
- Ability to lift and arrange quilts, fabric bundles, and display materials for photography sessions.
Pay: From $23.00 per hour
