Position Overview

Government Services Exchange (GSE) is seeking a senior-level Marketing & Creative Leader to architect, lead, and scale the entire marketing engine across our government contracting ecosystem.

GSE serves small businesses nationwide by helping them navigate and win in the government contracting space. We specialize in certifications (WOSB, VOSB, 8(a), HUBZone, etc.), bid writing, compliance, registrations, and full cycle govcon strategy. Our marketing must reflect authority, trust, performance, and scale.

This is not a coordinator role. This is a leadership role.

The ideal candidate will own strategy, execution, creative direction, and team leadership across all marketing channels while building structured systems that drive measurable revenue growth.

What You’ll Lead

  • Email Marketing Campaigns & Automation
  • SMS/Text Campaign Strategy
  • Brand Strategy & Visual Identity
  • PPC & Paid Media (Google, Meta, YouTube, etc.)
  • Raw Lead Generation & Funnel Optimization
  • Website Strategy, CRO & SEO
  • Creative Production (Video, Graphics, Messaging)
  • Marketing Analytics & KPI Reporting
  • Team Leadership & Project Management

This role is for a strategic marketing operator who can build campaigns, lead creative, manage people, drive accountability, and connect marketing directly to revenue growth inside a scaling government contracting company.

Core Responsibilities

1. Company-Wide Marketing Strategy & Leadership

  • Own and execute GSE’s complete marketing strategy across all divisions (SAM Certifications, GSA, GovExpert, Renewals, and Consulting).
  • Develop annual and quarterly marketing roadmaps aligned with revenue goals.
  • Align marketing initiatives directly with sales KPIs and pipeline growth.
  • Build marketing systems that support appointment setters, sales teams, and NBD teams.
  • Establish performance benchmarks tied to revenue, cost-per-lead, and conversion rates.

2. Lead Generation & Revenue Marketing

Design and manage multi-channel lead generation campaigns (paid ads, email, organic social, partnerships, webinars).

Optimize funnels for:

  • Sam Registration Services
  • SBA & State Certifications
  • GSA Schedule Services
  • GovExpert subscription sales

Improve cost-per-acquisition and campaign ROI.

Collaborate with sales leadership to improve lead quality and closing ratios.

Build authority positioning campaigns around government policy changes and procurement updates.

3. Creative Direction & Brand Authority

Lead all creative messaging and positioning across:

  • Website
  • Social media
  • Email marketing
  • Paid advertising
  • Sales collateral
  • Webinars & event promotions

Establish GSE as a trusted authority in government contracting.

Oversee development of:

  • Capability statement templates
  • Certification education campaigns
  • Government policy breakdowns
  • Thought leadership content

Maintain brand consistency across sub-brands and product lines.

4. Digital Infrastructure & Automation

  • Optimize CRM and marketing automation workflows (Zoho ecosystem preferred).
  • Oversee landing page optimization and donation-style conversion funnels.
  • Improve tracking systems for marketing attribution and sales reporting.
  • Implement SEO strategy for government contracting keywords.
  • Manage email nurture sequences for different service categories.

5. Project & Creative Operations Management

  • Lead cross-department marketing projects from concept to launch.
  • Establish internal marketing workflow systems.
  • Manage vendors, contractors, designers, and media buyers.
  • Ensure marketing deadlines align with sales pushes and quota cycles.
  • Create structured campaign calendars tied to quarterly revenue goals.

6. Analytics, Reporting & Executive Insights

Deliver monthly marketing performance dashboards.

Track:

  • Lead volume
  • Cost per lead
  • Conversion rates
  • Revenue attribution
  • Campaign ROI

Present quarterly marketing performance to executive leadership.

Continuously test and refine campaigns for scale and efficiency.

Qualifications

Demonstrated experience driving measurable revenue growth.

Experience with B2G (Business-to-Government) marketing preferred.

Strong understanding of:

  • Government contracting ecosystem
  • SBA certifications
  • Federal procurement processes

Experience with:

  • Zoho CRM & marketing automation (strongly preferred)
  • WordPress
  • Email marketing platforms
  • Paid advertising platforms
  • Analytics and reporting tools

Proven ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.

Strong leadership and project management skills.
