Marketing / E-Commerce Product Intern

Position Summary
The Marketing / E-Commerce Product Intern supports the Marketing Team by assisting with new product uploads, product data management, web edits, and digital merchandising initiatives. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product accuracy, consistency, and optimization across the company websites.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This internship offers hands-on experience in e-commerce operations, product marketing, and SEO fundamentals.
Key Responsibilities
New Product Team Support
Product Descriptions
- Research and verify product information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Write clear, consistent, and SEO-conscious product headings (H1), subheadings (H2) and SEO paragraphs.
- Meet weekly S.M.A.R.T. team goals (current target: 525 products per week).
- Follow established formatting guidelines to ensure uniform website presentation.
Product Data & Research
- Calculate and enter accurate weights, dimensions, and LTL freight details.
- Research vendor websites and catalogs to gather up-to-date product information.
- Update internal systems (MAS/Sage, H1/H2 fields, DS fields, etc.) as needed.
- Turn product flags on/off based on part requirements.
- Complete Google Shopping data fields as required.
- Assist in answering product-related questions and sharing findings with the team.
Product Review & Maintenance
- Assist with weekly product audits and enhancements.
- Update product information based on web edits or management direction.
- Run daily discontinued/out-of-stock reports and follow established SOPs.
- Submit web edits for facet and Make/Model issues.
- Conduct regular data audits to ensure accuracy and integrity.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Beginner-level proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills
- Ability to multitask and remain organized
- Self-motivated and able to stay on task with minimal supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working across multiple computer programs
- 55+ WPM
