Murnane Building Contractors, Inc. is seeking a motivated individual to join our team in the hybrid role as a Human Resources & Marketing Specialist. This dual-role position is responsible for HR operations and drives marketing initiatives. You’ll work closely with leadership, field teams, and office staff to ensure consistent messaging and a positive workplace culture.
Specific responsibilities include:
Human Resources (50%)
- Assist with recruiting skilled trades and office staff, including job postings, screening, and onboarding
- Create a unified onboarding guide for field, and office staff to be implemented across the various office branches.
- Develop and implement employee training and learning programs, safety orientation, and compliance documentation
- Support employee relations and engagement programs
- Maintain HR records and help implement policies and procedures in accordance with state and national labor laws
- Maintain up-to-date job descriptions and organizational charts
- Manage benefits administration, including health insurance renewals and provide guidance to employees on organizational benefits changes as they occur
- Organize company events, crew recognition, and internal communications
Marketing & Communications (50%)
- Create content for social media, website updates, and project highlights
- Manage support agencies, such as photography
- Develop materials for recruitment efforts, community events, and client outreach
- Coordinate branding across job sites, vehicles, uniforms, and printed materials
- Manage internal newsletters and help tell the story of our projects and people
- Aid branch offices with the creation of proposals for construction services, and engage with staff on interview prep.
- Assist with photography, video, and graphic design for marketing needs
This position is a direct report to the ownership team
Projects include commercial, educational and institutional, health care, correctional institutions, industrial plants, and waste water treatment facilities.
Required qualifications for this position are:
- Bachelor of Arts in Marketing, Human Resources, or a related field of study,
- 2+ years of experience in HR, marketing, or similar roles — construction industry experience is a strong plus
Strong communication and organizational skills
Comfortable working with both field crews and office staff
- Candidates should possess strong computer skills and written/verbal communication skills and the ability to work closely with a large field force.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
