Outerlink Global Solutions is seeking a Marketing Manager (strong preference for experience in market research and data analytics) for Outerlink Global Solutions in The Woodlands, Spring, or North Houston, Texas. Must be willing to meet with supervisor in person north of Houston 1-2 times per week.

Job Title: Marketing Manager

Reports To: Chief Technical Officer

Location: Shreveport, LA

Pay Class: Salary, Exempt

Job Objective

The Marketing Manager is responsible for leading the development and execution of integrated marketing communication strategies for Outerlink Global Solutions, North Flight Data Systems, and Guardian Mobility. This role plays a critical part in enhancing brand positioning, supporting business growth, and increasing customer engagement within the aviation and satellite telecommunications industries.

Essential Functions

  • Develop and implement strategic marketing communication plans to support business objectives across B2B and B2C channels.
  • Conduct customer and competitive research to understand user needs, industry trends, and the evolving market landscape; apply insights to inform messaging, positioning, and campaign strategies.
  • Plan, execute, and analyze integrated marketing campaigns to drive awareness, lead generation, and customer retention.
  • Establish and report on KPIs related to campaign ROI, conversion rates, audience growth, and customer engagement. Utilize this data to inform and drive future programs.
  • Create and manage content including press releases, blogs, case studies, white papers, email campaigns, advertisements, and customer presentations.
  • Manage and update the company’s online presence, including website, SEO, social media (LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.), and email marketing initiatives.
  • Direct the planning and logistics for industry events, trade shows, and webinars—including booth messaging, graphics, branded materials, vendor coordination, and on-site support.
  • Manage engagement with external agencies, vendors, and media partners as needed.
  • Coordinate branded merchandise and maintain inventory of marketing materials and apparel.
  • Additional duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSA)

  • Ability to develop strategic marketing plans and manage execution across multiple digital and traditional channels.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, writing, and editing skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in digital marketing tools and platforms, including SEO, CRM systems, email marketing, analytics (e.g., Google Analytics), and content management systems.
  • Strong project management, time management, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proven ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Comfortable engaging and managing external vendors and media contacts to support campaigns and content needs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage executive stakeholders and foster collaboration across cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated creativity, critical thinking, and a results-driven mindset.

Education & Experience

  • (REQUIRED) Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Data Analytics, Communications, or a related field ; (PREFERRED) Master’s degree.
  • (REQUIRED) 5+ years of experience in marketing communications, with strong emphasis on branding and campaign development.
  • (REQUIRED) Demonstrated success executing strategic marketing plans and managing content and digital campaigns.
  • (PREFERRED) Experience in aviation, aerospace, satellite communications, or a related technical industry.
  • (PREFERRED) Experience with brand creation or rebranding.

Physical Demands

  • The role is primarily sedentary, with extended periods of time spent sitting and working on a computer.
  • Repetitive motion.
  • Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Prolonged standing, lifting, and squatting on various surfaces during trade shows or customer events.

Work Environment

  • Air-controlled office.
  • Remote work requiring virtual communication with supervisor and team members regularly.
  • Occasional attendance at industry events and trade shows, which may include exposure to varied weather conditions and travel logistics

Work Status, Schedule, & Travel

  • Full-time
  • Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm
  • Travel required 6-10 times per year for conferences, trade shows, and meetings
