We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Marketing Manager to lead our marketing efforts and drive brand awareness. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in digital marketing, content creation, and multichannel marketing strategies. This role requires a creative thinker with excellent analytical skills who can effectively manage campaigns across various platforms to achieve business objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develops the strategic marketing plan and presents to the Executive Team.
- Collaborates with the Sales and Business Development Manager to align marketing strategies with sales goals and member acquisition/retention initiatives. Ensures marketing plans are integrated with business development activities and public relations efforts for maximum impact.
- Develops creative marketing strategies in collaboration with the Sales and Business Development Manager.
- o Designs, develops, and implements marketing programs for the credit union.
- o Tracks and evaluates results of programs.
- o Updates or changes, as appropriate, to ensure effectiveness.
- Prepares, implements, and supervises the budget for the Marketing Department that is consistent with the overall strategic plan and budget of the credit union.
- Manages brand and product campaigns across all channels. Uses data analysis to track and measure performance of all marketing initiatives.
- Develops and executes the credit union’s digital marketing plan, to include email marketing.
- Oversees and manages the credit union’s social media strategy.
- Oversees and manages the credit union’s website.
- Works cross-functionally to enhance the overall member experience, ensuring that all marketing touchpoints support a consistent and positive brand experience.
- Presents and communicates all marketing programs to management and personnel.
- Analyzes market trends and changes, and demographic data concerning members and potential members, products and services, and potential products and services. Keeps abreast of changing trends in the marketplace so that the credit union may react quickly and competitively.
- Creates and/or reviews letters, direct mail, press releases, collateral materials, forms, etc.
- Manages outside advertising and/or marketing vendors - design, content, or delivery of marketing materials, marketing promotions, or media campaigns.
- Implements marketing programs to effectively reach new segments and onboard new and re-board existing members.
- Aligns marketing performance metrics with Sales and Business Development KPIs to ensure a unified approach to member growth, product adoption, and market expansion.
- Reports progress to the Executive Team on a regular basis which includes benchmarks, goals, and measurable objectives for success.
- Oversees search engine optimization (SEO) and paid media strategies (SEM, display, retargeting) to increase digital visibility and drive qualified traffic to the credit union’s digital properties.
- Develops crisis communication plans in collaboration with executive leadership to protect the credit union’s brand and reputation.
- Coordinates usage of third-party financial analysis tools.
- Evaluates vendors to partner with the credit union.
- Ensures that all marketing and public relations materials comply with State and Federal rules and regulations for the credit union. Keeps abreast of changing rules and regulations.
- Develops, applies, and evaluates policies and procedures for the department.
- Works closely with Human Resources to define and build the credit union culture that is consistent with company brand.
- Leads the marketing staff, ensuring alignment with company mission, vision, values, through effective and frequent communication, celebration, coaching, mentoring, training, and serving.
- Develops marketing staff by providing information, educational opportunities, and experiential growth opportunities.
- Completes and performs all other duties as assigned, including special projects.
Education and/or Experience
- Four-year college degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field is required, and/or 5+ years of progressive marketing leadership skills with a working knowledge of traditional and online marketing strategies and tactics
- Knowledge of the credit union industry and related products and services, state and federal laws and regulations, and other credit union operational policies and procedures highly preferred.

- A strong understanding of leveraging large data sets to set campaigns and target appropriate audiences.
- An ongoing learning mentality, community involvement, networking, excellent communication skills both writing and presenting.
- The manager should demonstrate strong self-starting, collaboration, interpersonal skills, and resiliency.
- Fluent technical ability with creating marketing materials in all forms, maintaining social media platforms, use of Microsoft Suite and Adobe Suite. Understanding of website development and maintenance desired.
- Management and leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects and the work of others, as well as develop, mentor, and motivate team members.
- Ability to collaborate with management and other departments and team members on the needs, preparation, and presentation of marketing promotions, design, and collateral
- Impeccable design and copyrighting skill – has a strong aesthetic sense and acute attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, organizational, conflict management and negotiation skills.
- Extensive experience with Adobe Creative Cloud design software suite.
- Knowledge of Google Analytics, SEM, SEO, Display, Social and Affiliate marketing.
- Proficient at analyzing complex data and metrics and interpreting actionable insights.
- Experience with CRM programs.
- Knowledge of TV, radio, digital and email marketing. Should have a strong grasp of traditional, digital, and one-to-one marketing avenues, understanding the potential and pitfalls of each, and be able to apply solutions with each as needed or indicated.
- Experience with internal and external data research.
