About Aspire Skill Development

Aspire Skill Development aims to bridge the gap between potential and opportunity by cultivating the Aspire Skillset (self-development, interpersonal skills, organization, personal finance, global awareness, problem solving, and leadership skills). We empower individuals from all communities to confidently transition from where they are to where they aspire to be. We envision a world where potential is never limited by circumstance, where the Aspire Skillset bridges gaps, opens doors, and transforms lives.

We are at a critical turning point as we scale our programs and impact and are looking for an accomplished marketing leader to re-envision our growing brand, amplify our reach, solidify our engagement with stakeholders (interns, mentors, institutions, donors, partners), and position Aspire Skill Development as a leader in soft skill development for emerging professionals.

Role Overview

As Marketing Manager, you will lead marketing, outreach, and insights strategy for Aspire Skill Development. You will define and lead initiatives that ensure our voice is compelling, inclusive, and consistent with our mission by strengthening our market positioning, increasing program enrollment and partner/donor engagement, and expanding our footprint nationally (and potentially internationally). You will collaborate across teams (programming, partnerships, fundraising, leadership) to ensure consistent messaging and impactful storytelling. You will also bring measurable, data-driven results: increased reach and engagement, stronger conversion of leads to participants/partners, and deeper brand recognition.

Key Responsibilities

Brand & Communications Oversight

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with Aspire Skill Development’s mission, values, and growth objectives.
  • Oversee public relations, media engagement, and crisis communications as needed.
  • Drive lead generation efforts (for interns, mentors, institutional partners, donors) and manage the marketing funnel—from awareness to consideration to action.

Digital & Channel Management

  • Oversee marketing across all platforms: website, social media, email, mobile app, video, print, advertising, and PR.
  • Increase brand visibility and awareness through digital channels (social media, email, SEO/SEM, content marketing), traditional channels, events, partnerships, and public relations.

Data, Analytics, and Insight

  • Lead the creation of philanthropic storytelling, content and assets (videos, blog posts, case studies, testimonials, infographics) that showcase the impact of Aspire Skill Development’s work.
  • Monitor, analyze and report on key metrics (brand reach, website traffic, conversion rates, campaign ROI, social engagement, partner acquisition) and use data to refine strategies.
  • Stay apprised of marketing trends, tools, platforms and best practices in the non‑profit/education/skill‑development sector; recommend new opportunities (e.g., influencer campaigns, podcasts, virtual events).
  • Manage marketing budget, evaluate and select vendors/partners, and ensure efficient spend and maximum impact.

Strategic Leadership & Collaboration

  • Manage multiple grassroots campaigns and priorities simultaneously.
  • Build, lead, and mentor a small marketing team (3-4 employees) responsible for content creation, digital campaigns, analytics/reporting, and outreach.
  • Work with development/fundraising teams to support donor marketing, sponsorships, enrollment, grants and partner communications and relationship building.
  • Build and manage annual marketing budgets, ensuring strong fiscal stewardship.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive marketing/communications experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Non-profit, education, workforce development, or experience in related sectors is highly preferred.
  • Proven track record of developing brand awareness and delivering measurable growth in reach, engagement or program enrollment, demonstrated experience in strategic planning. Comfortable working in a remote organization and building culture and workflows virtually.
  • Excellent writing, storytelling and content creation abilities, with experience operating or overseeing video, mobile, social, web content
  • Experience working with data visualization tools (e.g., Asana, Tableau, Power BI, LMS, Google suites) preferred

What We Offer

  • A meaningful role in a mission‑driven organization that is making a tangible impact in peoples’ lives.
  • Fully remote work environment, enabling flexibility and work‑life balance, while being part of a growth‑oriented, inclusive team.
