Applied Fitness Solutions (AFS) is expanding into the healthcare market and is looking for a data-driven Marketing Manager & Brand Builder—equal parts strategic, creative, and executional—to accelerate AFS’s expansion into the healthcare sector.

AFS is a purpose-driven healthcare organization advancing lifestyle medicine to help people take back control of their health. Our evidence-based care model is delivered by a collaborative clinical team of Exercise Physiologists, Registered Dietitians, and Board-Certified Health Coaches, elevating these roles as mission-critical healthcare providers who address the root causes of disease through movement, nutrition, and health-behavior change.

AFS exists to restore health with care by returning health ownership and agency to each person we serve. At AFS, we transform the traditional “patient” into the provider of their own healthcare through lifestyle medicine, supported by our clinicians and systems.

Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will own the marketing funnel to drive brand awareness, qualified leads, pipeline velocity, and measurable revenue growth. You’ll craft breakthrough narratives and campaigns that resonate with B2C consumers and B2B decision-makers (providers, payers, employers), while managing 2–3 part-time contractors and key agency partnerships. Your track record in healthcare and/or wellness marketing—and your ability to translate clinical value into human-centric, outcomes-focused stories—will be essential to advancing our mission and market presence.

Role Overview

  • Position Type: In-Person
  • Base Salary: $75,000–$100,000
  • Performance Bonus: $25,000 tied to individual success metrics (pipeline, conversion, retention/LTV, and ROAS/CAC-payback targets) and organizational success metrics .

Duties & Responsibilities

Revenue Marketing

  • Develop and execute full-funnel B2C acquisition strategies that drive awareness, engagement, and conversion from inquiry to program start.
  • Plan and deliver quarterly marketing campaigns directly aligned with sales and revenue targets to attract, nurture, and convert leads into new customers. Own the marketing budget, channel mix, OKRs, audience targeting, segmentation, and persona development for the B2C funnel.
  • Build and optimize high-performing acquisition programs across paid search, paid social, local SEO, web/landing pages, email/SMS, community events, partnerships, internal promotions, and referral campaigns. Consider AI-enabled marketing tools to enhance personalization and scalability.
  • Design and manage analytics dashboards tracking the full acquisition funnel (traffic → MQL → consult → start). Report on CAC, ROAS, payback period, and key learnings to continuously refine performance.
  • Forecast lead volume, conversion, and revenue impact based on channel performance data.
  • Manage quarterly marketing budgets with accountability for spend efficiency, ROI, and revenue contribution.

Brand Development & Rebrand Execution

  • Own the AFS rebrand and healthcare brand launch end to end—set strategy and standards; coordinate execution with external agencies/vendors for messaging, visual rollout, signage/collateral, web updates, and PR.
  • Lead brand positioning and messaging framework; validate with market insights and translate into clear briefs for creative/production partners.
  • Define the visual brand system, tone/voice, and usage guidelines (logo stewardship included); direct external designers for asset creation.
  • Set content brand standards (video, imagery, templates) and supervise vendor/creator output for quality and consistency.
  • Drive social rebrand and launch strategy across all channels (including LinkedIn); brief and manage vendors for asset production, scheduling, and community management.
  • Own the website relaunch (audit → strategy → UX/design → CMS/hosting → journeys/lead flows → CRO/performance → SEO/technical prep → content optimization → compliance/accessibility → KPIs/analytics → launch comms/readiness). Direct specialized partners for build and implementation.
  • Plan and oversee healthcare brand launch promotions and communications; coordinate external PR, media, and production partners.
  • Maintain brand consistency and quality across all touchpoints, enforcing standards with internal teams and external vendors.

Content Strategy & Creation

  • Own the editorial calendar (stories, outcomes, program explainers, thought leadership) aligned to launch milestones and acquisition goals.
  • Develop performance content that converts (ads, LP copy, short-form video, email/SMS, FAQ explainers); A/B test hooks, offers, and CTAs.
  • Standards & compliance: enforce brand guidelines; implement HIPAA-aware workflows for testimonials, success stories, and all photo/video usage.
  • Consumer toolkits: create starter guides, “what to expect” resources, and onboarding explainer content to reduce friction from consult → start.

Agency / Vendor Management

  • Agency and vendor sourcing: Build a vetted bench of agencies/freelancers; run fast RFPs with clear criteria (capability, cost, cultural fit).
  • Lead partner orchestration: brief, select, and manage creative, media buying, PR, and production vendors; negotiate scopes/SOWs.
  • Set performance standards: define KPIs, dashboards, and QA processes; hold partners accountable to CAC, ROAS, and payback targets.
  • Scale efficiently: deploy AI-enabled workflows with vendors (where appropriate) for personalization, creative iteration, and reporting.

Cross-Functional Enablement

  • Align with Clinical Ops & Site Leaders on capacity, offer positioning, geo targeting, and readiness to ensure leads can be scheduled and started quickly.
  • Coordinate member-facing communications (pre-consult prep, show-rate nudges, day-of guidance) to maximize conversion from inquiry → consult → start.
  • Feedback loop: translate frontline insights (objections, FAQs, outcomes) into rapid content and funnel optimizations.

Qualifications

  • 5–8+ years leading multi-channel B2C acquisition with proven ownership of demand gen (measurable impact on CAC, payback, ROAS, and topline revenue).
  • Deep expertise in digital performance marketing: paid search/social, landing page/CRO, funnel instrumentation, attribution, and website relaunches (audit → strategy → UX/design → build → analytics → QA → launch).
  • Healthcare / wellness or healthcare-adjacent experience strongly preferred; comfortable operating with HIPAA-aware marketing practices and testimonial/media workflows.
  • Strategic and creative thinker with a passion for our purpose and brand storytelling that translates clinical value into consumer outcomes.
  • Copy/content strength (portfolio or samples required); video scripting/production/editing experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of AI-enabled marketing (creative iteration, personalization, predictive scoring, reporting) a plus.
  • Hands-on with CRM/marketing automation (HubSpot or similar), Google Ads/Analytics/Tag Manager, paid social platforms, local SEO/reputation, and basic design tools (Canva/Adobe).
  • Data-driven, test-and-learn operator able to build/lightly edit dashboards and turn insights into rapid experiments and optimizations.
  • Excellent project and vendor management: experience leading agencies/contractors with clear briefs, KPIs, and accountability.
  • Clear, collaborative communicator who can partner with clinicians, coaches, and operations; mission-aligned and principle-driven.
  • Work samples and professional references (preferably direct supervisors) required to demonstrate performance, creativity, and leadership in comparable roles.
