Marketing begins with people, so we’re looking for a client-centric marketing professional. The ideal candidate is passionate about digital media and the impact of high quality, educational content. Working cross-functionally to help the advisory, investment, and client service teams communicate complex topics in a digestible way, the Marketing Manager has a creative mindset and can manage multiple projects simultaneously. The marketing professional will be expected to prepare and present ideas and deliverables on a regular basis, and to research market trends and industry data so that the company remains at the cutting edge. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Marketing Strategy and Support
  • Develop, execute, and adjust marketing strategies to align with firm goals and client needs.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and client feedback.
  • Contribute to sales and marketing materials development.
  • Conduct market research to understand target audience needs.
  • Review and execute VLP marketing calendar items on an ongoing basis.
  • Manage Google Ads search campaign to ensure consistent paid traffic to the website.
Online Presence and Social Media Management
  • Lead outlining and recording of bi-monthly podcast content.
  • Manage paid ads on YouTube to promote YouTube videos.
  • Manage regular creation and distribution of short form video content using Opus Clip.
  • Schedule and track social media post performance via Sprout Social.
  • Enhance and maintain the firm's online presence, including the website and social media.
  • Collaborate with compliance for content approvals.
  • Execute social media strategy to increase brand awareness and engagement.
  • Ensure regular updates to keep the website current and user-friendly.
Branding and Events Management
  • Organize and plan quarterly client sporting events. (i.e. Golf, Pickleball, Tennis)
  • Organize and plan annual VLP Golf Clinic each Spring.
  • Organize and plan annual VLP Happy Hour Series for clients and team.
  • Safeguard and reinforce the firm's brand identity in all marketing materials.
  • Ensure consistent branding across all channels.
  • Assist advisors with compliance submissions for their educational events.
  • Plan marketing events and document them through photos and videos.
Content Distribution and Data Tracking
  • Manage marketing content distribution through FMG Suite and Marketing Central.
  • Update quarterly marketing report to track marketing efforts and results.
  • Coordinate the release of 1-2 articles monthly based on brand topics and SEO research.
  • Track source of lead data
  • Report quarterly on website performance via Google Analytics.
Public Relations and Reporting
  • Manage creation and distribution of Bi-monthly & Quarterly VLP Newsletter.
  • Coordinate PR and outreach initiatives, including media releases, awards, and announcements.
  • Measure and report marketing campaign performance.
  • Lead bi-monthly department meetings to discuss marketing strategies.

Required Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of marketing, communications, or advertising experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • Hands-on experience in developing campaigns and promotions.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in marketing, business, or related field.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, CRM platforms, and marketing platforms.
  • Experience interacting directly with vendors.

Desired Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of marketing, communications, or advertising experience, or equivalent.
  • Professional certification. (ex: Professional Certified Marketer)
  • Established media contacts.
  • Experience with relevant markets and trends.
  • Experience in content development and/or website design.

Skills:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Superior interpersonal and organizational skills with a creative mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task by prioritizing workload to manage time effectively, complete work within deadlines, and produce accurate results.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.



Compensation & Benefits:
Base Salary: $70,000 - $80,000
