Marketing Manager

Summary
Our client, Care-A-Lot Pet Supply, is hiring for a Marketing Manager. The Marketing Manager must have a passion for animals, be results-oriented and have a clear, organized approach to marketing leadership. As the central connector between the marketing team, retail stores, and external partners, you will lead Care-A-Lot Pet Supply’s print and digital marketing, ensuring marketing strategy and messaging is well-organized, consistent, and effectively implemented and measurable. This role requires strategic creative thinking, design, branding and social media expertise, collaboration skills and leadership acumen.

Essential Functions

  • Direct Management: Directly manage and mentor a full-time Graphic Designer and part-time Content Creator, ensuring their output aligns with monthly themes and high-level brand goals.
  • Channel & Content Strategy: Define a platform-specific content strategy for all social media platforms and collaborate with the Content Creator to develop high-quality graphics, reels, and written content that adheres to branding guidelines for each channel.
  • Content Library: Maintain an organized library of photos and videos for use across all marketing channels.
  • Calendar Ownership: Build and maintain the master marketing calendar for all promotions, seasonal initiatives, and product launches.
  • Multi-Channel Rollout: Coordinate the deployment of campaigns across digital, social, email, SMS, customer loyalty program, and in-store channels to ensure a unified customer experience.
  • Location Support: Work closely with the Store Director and Special Events Coordinator to ensure each location has the necessary signage and digital assets for promotions and events.
  • Services Support: Work with the resort managers to grow and market services, ie Self-serve grooming, daycare, and boarding.
  • Vendor Management: Serve as the day-to-day contact for outside vendors such as web vendor and product managers. Oversee work on website hosting, SEO, email and SMS marketing, and direct product marketing.
  • Data Translation: Analyze reports from web vendor and Meta Business Suite to provide actionable insights.

Supervisory Responsibility

Work Environment

This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, digital cameras and fax machines.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This job would require the ability to lift files, products and equipment as necessary. The employee is frequently required to sit for long periods of time. This job requires the employee to lift at least 25 pounds infrequently.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Required Education and Experience

Associate’s Degree in Marketing or related field. 2+ years of experience in marketing coordination or management. Proven experience managing direct reports or freelance creators to meet deadlines and quality standards. Proven ability to interpret complex data (Google Analytics/Meta) and turn it into a growth strategy. Comfortable working with digital platforms including email (Klaviyo/Mailchimp), social media schedulers, and CMS tools.

Preferred Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field. 5+ years of experience in marketing coordination or management, preferably in multi-location retail or hospitality. Proven experience managing direct reports or freelance creators to meet deadlines and quality standards. Proven ability to interpret complex data (Google Analytics/Meta) and turn it into a growth strategy. Comfortable working with digital platforms including email (Klaviyo/Mailchimp), social media schedulers, and CMS tools.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
