Marketing Manager

The Connell Family of Companies is a Michigan-based group of five complementary businesses built around craftsmanship, design, and exceptional service. Our brands include:

  • Pointe Cabinets & Design – a full-service cabinetry and interior design studio serving residential and commercial clients
  • Connell Building Company – a custom home building and remodeling firm
  • Detroit Woodworking – a custom millwork and cabinetry manufacturing operation
  • Oasis Heating & Cooling – HVAC and electrical services for residential and commercial clients
  • Pointe Handyman Services – skilled trades and home maintenance services

We’re a growing, family-owned company with deep roots in the Grosse Pointe community and an expanding presence in the luxury home and design market. We’re looking for a driven, creative Marketing Manager to help tell our story across all five brands.

Role Overview:

As Marketing Manager, you’ll own the marketing function across all five companies - building brand awareness, driving lead generation, and creating content that reflects the quality and character of everything we build and design. This role is equal parts strategist and creator: one day you’re developing a campaign calendar, the next you’re shooting a behind-the-scenes Reel at the woodshop.

You’ll work collaboratively with our studio team on a day-to-day basis while reporting directly to the Vice President. This is a role with real ownership — you’ll have meaningful independence to shape how our brands show up, while staying closely connected to the people doing the work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage our social media strategy for platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
  • Design and oversee all aspects of our email marketing campaigns, including market segmentation and analytics.
  • Coordinate production of all print marketing materials, including signs, business cards, and brochures.
  • Manage the creation and distribution of company apparel, as well as oversee advertising efforts including billboards, radio, and print mediums such as newspapers and magazines.
  • Update and maintain the company's websites to ensure content is current, engaging, and optimized for search engines.
  • Manage and coordinate all company-sponsored events and partnerships.
  • Conduct photography and videography sessions, including editing, to produce high-quality content for various marketing channels.
  • Oversee our online shops on our website, Etsy, TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram, ensuring products are presented attractively and accurately.
  • Create and produce design and copy for marketing materials, ensuring consistency with our brand voice and standards.

Qualifications:

  • 2–4 years of experience in marketing, content creation, or brand management (agency or in-house)
  • A degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred — but a strong portfolio and proven results matter more to us than a diploma
  • Strong social media skills (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) — you understand what performs and why, and you’re comfortable on camera or behind it
  • Experience with content creation tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar)
  • Excellent writing and copy skills with a strong eye for design and brand consistency
  • Self-starter who can manage multiple brands and deadlines with a high degree of independence
  • Collaborative by nature — comfortable working closely with a hands-on team while also owning your lane
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where priorities can shift
  • Experience in home design, construction, trades, or luxury goods is a strong plus — but not required
  • Familiarity with email platforms (Mailchimp, Klaviyo, or similar) and basic analytics tools

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
