Marketing Manager

BBB of Michigan is seeking an organized and results-driven Marketing Manager to help turn strategic plans into measurable results.

This role is ideal for a creative marketing professional who enjoys leading projects, coordinating teams, improving processes, and finding innovative ways to connect with a variety of audiences. Working closely with the Chief Marketing Officer, the Marketing Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the marketing department, supervise marketing and public relations staff, and help execute campaigns and initiatives that support awareness, engagement, and growth throughout Michigan.

This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while helping shape the future of a growing marketing department focused on innovation, trust, education, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage day-to-day marketing operations, priorities, and project workflows.

· Supervise and support marketing and public relations team members.

· Lead implementation of a department-wide project management platform.

· Coordinate and execute integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social, email, events, and traditional channels.

· Support advertising, lead generation, retention, sponsorship, and community engagement initiatives.

· Collaborate with internal departments to support organizational goals and strategic initiatives.

· Monitor campaign performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

· Help expand BBB's reach through innovative marketing strategies and emerging technologies, including AI.

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or a related field.

· Minimum of five years of progressive marketing experience.

· Experience developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns.

· Experience managing multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously.

· Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

· Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.

· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments and with external stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

· Leadership or team management experience.

· Experience managing Meta and Google advertising campaigns.

· Experience managing advertising budgets and vendor relationships.

· Experience supporting lead generation, customer retention, membership growth, or business development initiatives.

· Experience using project management platforms such as Monday.com, Microsoft Planner, or similar tools.

· Experience managing social media channels for business or nonprofit organizations, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.

· Experience with email marketing platforms, marketing automation tools, CRM systems, content management systems, and marketing analytics tools.

· Experience working in a nonprofit, association, chamber, membership, or mission-driven organization.

Work Schedule & Travel

This is a full-time exempt position, typically working Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.

BBB of Michigan offers a hybrid work schedule:

· In-office: Tuesday–Thursday

· Remote: Monday & Friday

Occasional evening and weekend work is required for events, meetings, and organizational initiatives.

Travel between the Grand Rapids and Southfield offices is required, along with some statewide travel and attendance at national conferences. Estimated travel: up to 25%.

Success in this role requires someone who can balance strategic thinking, staff supervision, and strong project management to consistently turn plans into measurable results. The Marketing Manager will drive increased brand awareness, engagement, and visibility through the successful execution of marketing campaigns aligned with organizational goals and key performance indicators. Success will be reflected through increased lead generation, accreditation growth, event participation, and stakeholder engagement, while improving operational efficiency, strengthening team collaboration, and delivering exceptional experiences for businesses, consumers, and community partners.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
