Marketing Manager / Growth Lead

About the role

We are a medium-sized HVAC and plumbing company looking for an entrepreneurial marketing professional to own all aspects of marketing - digital, print, social, and traditional channels - with minimal outside agency support. This is a hands-on role for someone who can build and execute, not just manage vendors. Success will be measured in qualified leads, booked jobs, and revenue growth.

You will be responsible for the entire marketing engine: brand, demand generation, local awareness, customer retention, and performance reporting - working closely with the General Manager to turn marketing into appointments and sales.

Key responsibilities:

Revenue and lead generation (primary)

· Own lead volume and lead quality across HVAC and plumbing, balancing immediate demand with long-term brand building.

· Build and manage weekly/monthly lead and revenue forecasts and report performance (CPL, CAC, conversion rates, booked calls, close rate, ROAS).

Digital marketing (hands-on)

· Manage local SEO: Google Business Profiles, citations, service pages, schema, location targeting, and review velocity.

· Run paid acquisition: Google Ads (search/LSA), Meta, retargeting, etc.

· Own website performance: conversion rate optimization, landing pages, A/B tests, tracking, and site updates.

· Build and execute email/SMS marketing for follow-up, win-back, maintenance plans, seasonal promos, and reputation generation.

· Manage social media content strategy and production cadence (photos, short-form video, before/after, technician spotlights, community posts).

Traditional and local brand building

· Plan and execute print/direct mail, door hangers, yard signs, wraps, radio, community sponsorships, and local partnerships.

· Coordinate brand consistency across trucks, uniforms, collateral, signage, and on-site materials.

· Develop seasonal campaigns aligned with weather patterns and service mix.

Content and creative production

· Create and publish content: service pages, blog posts, FAQs, short-form video scripts, promos, and sales enablement materials.

· Own photo/video capture standards for field teams (simple playbooks for technicians).

Systems, analytics, and process ownership

· Own marketing measurement: call tracking, UTMs, GA4, attribution basics, and CRM integration (as available).

· Maintain a marketing calendar and campaign pipeline.

· Build simple SOPs so marketing runs consistently and can scale.

Team and vendor coordination (light, selective)

· Manage limited vendors (print, web development, freelance creative) with clear scope, budget discipline, and accountability.

· As the company grows, help hire and manage additional marketing support (coordinator, content creator, etc.).

Qualifications

· 3-5+ years in a hands-on marketing role, ideally in home services (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, restoration, pest control) or a similar local-service business.

· Demonstrated ownership of revenue outcomes (pipeline, booked jobs, ROAS/CAC/CPL).

· Strong working knowledge of local SEO and Google Business Profile optimization.

· Hands-on experience with Google Ads and Local Services Ads; Meta ads and retargeting.

· Comfortable building conversion-focused landing pages and improving website performance.

· Experience with email/SMS lifecycle marketing and customer retention campaigns.

· Working familiarity with call tracking and attribution fundamentals.

· Strong copywriting instincts; can produce effective ads, promos, and customer communications.

· Comfortable working in tools such as Canva or Adobe (basic), and a CMS (WordPress/Webflow basic).

· Nice-to-have: Google Tag Manager, and service-business CRMs (e.g., ServiceTitan).

Location / schedule

· Must be based in greater Jacksonville area. This is a hands-on role that requires regular time in the office. While some remote work may be permitted, 3+ days/week in person.
