Marketing Manager / Growth Marketer (Construction & Design-Build)
Company Overview
We are a full-cycle design-build and residential construction company based in Southern California. Our services include architectural planning, design development, engineering, new residential construction, roofing, remodeling, and high-end finishing. We are receiving our California General Contractor license in January and are preparing to scale our operations and marketing efforts.
We are looking to hire an in-house Marketing Manager who will take ownership of our marketing strategy and execution and work closely with leadership, external vendors, and internal teams.
Role Overview
This is a hands-on role for someone who understands how to build and manage marketing systems, not just run ads or post on social media. You will be responsible for developing strategy, coordinating execution, managing vendors and agencies, tracking performance, and continuously optimizing lead generation and brand positioning.
This role reports directly to company leadership and will play a key role in our growth.
Key Responsibilities
You will own and manage the company’s marketing efforts end to end, including strategy, execution, and performance tracking. This includes overseeing website development and optimization, SEO strategy, paid advertising across Google and Meta, content creation including photo and video, and local brand presence.
You will manage relationships with external marketing agencies, freelancers, videographers, and designers, ensuring alignment with company goals and timelines. You will be responsible for lead tracking, CRM coordination, analytics, reporting, and ongoing optimization of funnels and conversion rates.
You will work closely with leadership to define KPIs, budgets, and growth priorities, and you will provide regular performance reports with clear insights and recommendations. You will also support brand development, messaging, positioning, and reputation management.
Required Experience and Skills
We are looking for someone with proven experience in marketing for construction companies, contractors, real estate, home services, or related industries. You should have a strong understanding of lead generation, local SEO, Google Ads, Meta Ads, and conversion-focused websites.
You must be comfortable managing vendors and agencies and understand how to evaluate their work and performance. Experience with CRM systems, call tracking, form tracking, and attribution is required. You should be data-driven, organized, and able to translate numbers into actionable decisions.
Strong communication skills are essential, as you will be working directly with leadership and external partners. You should be comfortable operating in a growing company where structure is being built and processes are still evolving.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with design-build firms or general contractors is strongly preferred. Familiarity with licensing-driven industries and local market competition is a plus. Experience launching or scaling a brand from an early or growth stage is highly valued.
Knowledge of video marketing for construction or home services, including short-form ads and project storytelling, is a strong plus. Experience managing marketing budgets and forecasting ROI is also preferred.
What Success Looks Like in This Role
Within the first 90 days, you will have a clear marketing strategy in place, a defined funnel with tracking, active campaigns generating qualified leads, and reporting that leadership can rely on. Over time, you will help build a scalable marketing system that supports long-term growth and brand credibility across Southern California.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation is competitive and based on experience. This can be a salaried position or hourly with growth potential. Remote or hybrid options may be available for the right candidate.
