Job Title: Marketing Professional
(Dual Entity: Specialty Hospital & General Practice)

Employment Type: Full-Time: Gainesville, FL
Reports To: Hospital Administrator / Practice Owners
Position Overview:
We are seeking a strategic and innovative Marketing Professional to lead and execute the marketing efforts for two distinct veterinary entities: a Veterinary Specialty Hospital and a network of General Veterinary Practices. The ideal candidate is a "full-stack" marketer who can seamlessly switch between high-level brand strategy and hands-on execution, but can ultimately serve as a Marketing Director in the future.
You will be responsible for driving patient volume, enhancing brand visibility, and managing the digital footprint for both companies. You must be proficient in modern web design (specifically Wix), social media channel management, and executing SEO strategies that dominate our market.
Key Responsibilities:
Brand Strategy & Dual-Entity Management:
  • Understand and communicate with our Distinct Brand Identities: We have two separate brand voices—one for the Specialty Hospital (focused on expertise, advanced technology, referral partnerships, and emergency care) and one for the General Practices (focus on veterinary care and compassion that feels personal, while highlighting our attentive, informative and invested staff), and for both businesses, leveraging our local ownership.)
  • Enhance Referral Marketing (Specialty): Improve our B2B marketing strategies to strengthen relationships with referring veterinarians, including referral portals, newsletters, and CE event promotion.
  • Enhance Client Retention (General Practice): Improve our efforts by implementing loyalty programs, find new ways to use automated reminders, and implement educational campaigns to increase compliance and appointment frequency.
Website Design & Management (Wix):
  • Wix Administration: Initially, work with the primary webmaster for both business websites hosted on Wix, moving towards full management within 6-12 months.
  • UX/UI Design: continuously improve site layout and user interface to ensure a seamless "mobile-first" booking and emergency contact experience.
  • Conversion Optimization: Design high-converting landing pages for specific services (e.g., "Emergency Vet Near Me" or "Puppy Wellness Plans") leveraging as many of the built-in features of Wix that enhance automation, communication and efficiency.
AI Integration & Content Strategy:
  • AI-Driven Content: Utilize AI tools, both within and outside Wix (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Canva Magic) to scale content creation for blogs, social media captions, and newsletters while maintaining a human, empathetic tone.
  • Ai-Chatbots & Automation: Implement and manage AI-driven chatbots on the websites to handle after-hours FAQs, triage emergency questions, and assist with appointment scheduling
  • Data Analysis: Use AI analytics tools to predict busy seasons and adjust ad spend accordingly.
SEO & Local Search Domination:
  • Local SEO: Manage Google Business Profiles (GBP) for all locations, including review responses. Manage, add to, and update services that are strategically optimized for keywords.
  • Reputation Management: Oversee reviews by working with our team to craft professional responses to all feedback, and create personalized automated responses wherever possible.
  • Content SEO: Use AI for on-site blogs and Google Profile posts to capture traffic for specific medical conditions (Specialty) and general pet care advice (General Practice).
Digital Advertising & Analytics:
  • Create, implement and manage paid ad campaigns (Google Ads, Meta Ads) with distinct budgets for Specialty (high intent/emergency) vs. General (awareness/wellness)
  • Track measurable KPIs i.e.Cost Per Acquisition (CPA), Return on Ad Spend (ROAS), and New Client figures) reporting monthly to leadership.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a marketing role, preferably leadership
  • Proven experience managing marketing for multiple brands or locations simultaneously.
Technical Skills:
  • Wix Expertise (Required): Deep knowledge of the Wix Editor, Velo (basics preferred)
  • AI Proficiency: Familiarity with prompt engineering and using AI tools for content and design.
  • SEO Tools: Experience with SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, or similar.
  • Design: Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/Illustrator), or similar tools.
  • Analytics: Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Search Console.
Soft Skills:
  • Agility: Ability to pivot quickly between the urgent nature of emergency medicine marketing and the steady pace of general practice.
  • Empathy: Understanding the emotional bond between owners and pets, and reflecting that in all messaging.
  • Business acumen: Useful when understanding the big picture, and explaining marketing ROI to our board, and internal invested professionals.
