Marketing Professional for Leading Marine Insurance Company

Position Summary
The National Boat Owners Association (NBOA) is a national leader the marine industry, providing specialized marine insurance solutions for boaters, yacht owners, and marine businesses. In additional to marine insurance, NBOA also offers several valuable services such as marine financing, extended marine warranties, towing memberships, and more. We are seeking an experienced, creative, and results-driven Marketing Professional to lead our marketing efforts and elevate brand visibility within the boating and marine insurance markets.
This role will be responsible for managing all marketing functions — including digital strategy, brand development, campaign management, content creation, and partnerships — to drive growth, customer engagement, and retention.
Key Responsibilities
Brand & Strategic Marketing
- Develop and execute a cohesive marketing strategy that aligns with NBOA’s growth goals, brand values, and customer demographics.
- Maintain consistent brand identity across all communication channels, ensuring premium and trustworthy representation within the marine insurance sector.
- Identify and capitalize on industry trends, seasonal boating cycles, and competitive opportunities to enhance visibility.
- Identify competitors and gather intel on how they’re coming to market, and how we can best surpass their efforts with more detailed and effective marketing strategy.
Digital Marketing & Advertising
- Work with our web development and marketing agency to accelerate growth in the digital space.
- Manage paid and organic digital campaigns (Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.) to generate qualified leads.
- Develop new digital campaigns based on market tendencies and demographic changes that will increase brand awareness and lead generation.
- Optimize website SEO and coordinate with web developers on performance, UX, and content updates.
- Oversee social media strategy across platforms, ensuring consistent posting cadence, audience engagement, and brand tone.
- Track performance analytics using Google Analytics, Meta Insights, and CRM dashboards to evaluate ROI and guide decisions.
Content Creation & Public Relations
- Develop high-quality content for email newsletters, blogs, digital ads, and industry publications.
- Write and distribute press releases, feature stories, and thought-leadership articles in marine industry outlets.
- Coordinate photography, video, and graphic design assets that reflect the NBOA brand and marine lifestyle.
Customer & Partner Engagement
- Collaborate with marine dealerships, yacht brokers, and industry partners to create co-branded marketing campaigns.
- Support trade show, boat show, and event marketing — including booth design, materials, sponsorships, and follow-up campaigns.
- Travel to local (FL) boat shows to meet with vendors, carriers, partners, and clients to maintain and develop strong relationships with current and potential partners.
- Manage customer communications and retention initiatives, such as policyholder newsletters and referral programs.
Internal Coordination & Systems
- Work closely with sales, underwriting, and leadership teams to align messaging, promotions, and service offerings.
- Maintain and leverage CRM (Salesforce and Applied Epic) for campaign tracking and customer segmentation.
- Manage marketing budgets, vendor relationships, and production schedules efficiently.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- 3–5 years of marketing experience, preferably in insurance, financial services, or marine-related industries.
- Proficiency with marketing automation tools, CRM platforms (Salesforce a plus), and analytics dashboards.
- Strong copywriting, branding, and digital content skills.
- Demonstrated success managing campaigns that drive measurable growth.
- Experience with AI tools and how to best leverage AI to drive business.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with marine or boating industry audiences and terminology.
- Experience producing creative for trade shows and dealer partnerships.
- Knowledge of insurance marketing compliance standards.
