The Marketing and Social Media Content Specialist maintains and expands Metro Parks presence. This nature-loving and customer service focused team-member will work to ensure we're fully engaging existing users, attracting new ones, integrating our marketing activities via social media platforms and effectively positioning Metro Parks.
At the core of Metro Parks marketing efforts is our desire to get the citizens of Franklin County and beyond talking about, actively using, and advocating for our amazing parks!
Develops strategies to grow Metro Parks’ brand, presence, and reach across multiple digital media platforms to target and increase various audiences.
Creates and edits original content for internal and external audiences, publications, and media outlets, including content for special events, and spontaneous photography and videography.
Develops and implements content for marketing, recruitment, and communications campaigns, including producing videos, digital toolkits, infographics, fliers, and other digital assets for target audiences.
Manages content calendars for social media and other appropriate digital channels.
Identifies trends, relevant news, and other opportunities in the digital media space to increase brand awareness and voice.
Stays current with emerging digital media behaviors, trends, and technologies.
Manages all digital assets, including building, organizing, and maintaining a digital media library, and oversees all digital accounts, such as Google Business Profiles.
Conducts website reviews and performs edits, changes, and updates as needed to support operations and enhance the guest experience.
Writes and publishes blogs, press releases, and articles; assists with print publications and marketing materials, including interpretive and educational signage. Assists with media relations, including developing media contacts, articles, presentations, and pitches.
Analyzes and reports on digital analytics to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of content across all channels.
Attends Metro Parks events and programs to provide timely photo and video coverage and real-time social media promotion.
Monitors and responds to digital and social media comments, questions, and feedback in a professional and timely manner.
Trains and supports team members across all departments to effectively leverage social media.
Manages Metro Parks' chronolog stations, OuterSpacial App, andArchove Social.
Completes all required reports and documentation accurately and on schedule.
Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Work Hours: The work schedule for this position will be varied and will include evenings, weekends and some holidays. The individual in this position will design the work schedule around park events and in a way to work with park staff who do not work a typical weekday, daytime schedule.
