Position Overview

WEHCO Media, Inc. is seeking an ambitious, digitally savvy Marketing Solutions Manager to lead inbound lead generation and outbound marketing efforts. local media entities across multiple platforms — including printed newspapers, websites, email newsletters, and mobile applications.

Specializing in the recruitment and public relations verticals (including political, advocacy, nonprofit, and community outreach advertisers), this role is responsible for attracting, qualifying, and engaging potential advertisers, as well as creating tailored, multi-platform solutions that help them achieve their goals. Strong interpersonal skills to forge partnerships is a must.

The ideal candidate combines strategic marketing expertise with a consultative sales mindset, excelling at identifying opportunities, adjusting to changing industry trends, crafting solutions, and driving measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Generation & Marketing

  • Design and execute inbound marketing strategies that attract potential advertisers in the recruitment and public relations sectors.
  • Conduct targeted outbound marketing to identify, engage, and qualify high-value prospects.
  • Research and profile potential advertisers, identifying pain points and aligning solutions to their needs.
  • Utilize digital channels, marketing automation, and data-driven campaigns to create a consistent lead flow.

Solution Development & Sales Collaboration

  • Work with local newspaper leadership and sales teams to develop customized, multi-platform advertising solutions that combine print, digital, mobile, and email products.
  • Present compelling value propositions that resonate with advertiser objectives in recruitment and public relations markets.
  • Participate in proposal development, pitch presentations, and strategic sales planning sessions.
  • Assist sales team members in moving opportunities through the pipeline, while managing your own advertiser portfolio.

Account Management & Optimization

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with your assigned advertiser accounts.
  • Monitor campaign performance and recommend optimizations for better results.
  • Track, analyze, and report on lead generation effectiveness, campaign success metrics, and revenue impact.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in digital marketing, lead generation, or media advertising — preferably within recruitment, political/public affairs, or B2B marketing.
  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Communications, or similar preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the recruitment industry and recruitment marketing, such as employer branding, talent attraction, and associated technologies like applicant tracking systems.
  • Proven ability to generate leads and convert them into sales opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of integrated advertising strategies across print and digital channels.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, marketing automation platforms, and analytics tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for persuasive messaging and presentations.
  • Ability to translate complex ideas into clear, compelling narratives and presentations.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Performance Metrics

  • Quality and volume of inbound leads generated.
  • Conversion rates from lead to sale.
  • Growth in advertiser revenue for recruitment and public relations verticals.
  • Client satisfaction and retention levels.
