1. Responsibilities of the Marketing Specialist
a. Develop Marketing Materials
i. Make videos of RAISE activities that help promote our refugee communities in Joplin
1. All videos will be in English
2. For videos that need to be in different languages, work with RAISE Interpreters to
dub over the videos.
ii. Develop brochures of RAISE activities that will help with:
1. Volunteer Recruitment
2. Employment of clients / becoming Preferred Refugee Employers
3. Fund raising
iii. Develop advertising materials that could be used with newspapers, radio, TV
b. Continuously create and post RAISE Social Media
i. RAISE Website
ii. Facebook
iii. Instagram
iv. Tik Tok
v. Other sites that are appropriate
vi. Before posting - obtain Executive or appropriate Director approval
c. Develop Materials that will support / promote Fundraising activities
i. Work with Outreach Coordinator on different outreach / fundraising activities
ii. Help Executive Director / Outreach Coordinator determine Fundraising Activities and
help with those Activities as needed
d. Help RAISE develop Fundraising Ideas & Activities

2. Other Responsibilities
a. Attend Weekly Staff Meeting
b. Other duties as assigned

3. What you Bring:
a. Required Qualifications
i. Ability to make and edit Videos with potential foreign language over dubs
ii. Ability to create content and manage all Social Media sites that RAISE wants to be
involved in
iii. Ability to work with a variety of computer programs and databases to document
activities and create marketing materials.
iv. Good organization and leadership skills
v. Good communication skills, particularly with English Language Learners
b. Preferred qualifications:
i. College Degree
1. Preferred major or minor in Marketing
ii. Prior relevant job experience of Marketing/ Social Media management for a company
iii. Experience working with international cultures / refugees

4. Reports to: Executive Director

5. Compensation:
a. This is a full-time W2 position. All appropriate Federal and State taxes will be withheld per IRS
W-4 and MO W-4. The employer portion of SSI and Medicare taxes will be paid by RAISE.
b. Pay: $23-$25 per hour depending on experience.
c. Hours: 30-40 hours per week average
i. Normal office hours at the RAISE office are expected with some flexibility for fundraising
activities on evenings and weekends.
d. Payment - monthly on the 1st of the following month (or the 1st Monday closest to the 1st of
the month). No later than the 15th of the following month if the timesheet is submitted after the
end of the month.
e. Gas Expense Reimbursement according to RAISE policy for business activities.
f. RAISE offers 12 paid holidays and paid time off. We do not offer any health insurance or other
benefits at this time.

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
