JOB SUMMARY
The Marketing Specialist will participate in developing, implementing, and managing all in-house graphic design (print & digital) and marketing activities to support the firm. This position will also create designs for trade show displays, website updates and maintenance, email marketing, social media updates and graphics brochures.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Create write-ups for Completed Building Projects with supporting photographs, data and graphics.
- Create marketing responses for RFQ’s and RFP’s (Requests for Qualifications and Requests for Proposals) in the pursuit of new projects the firm is trying to secure.
- Create templates for the firm to use for standard marketing activities.
- Produce original graphic designs and layouts for advertising (print & digital).
- Produce promotional displays, posters, Building Project Data Sheets, Building Project Brochures and other in-house graphic pieces.
- Edit, retouch & resize product photography for print & digital.
- Deconstruct existing working files to produce additional pieces.
- Management of digital assets including the uploading and organization of graphics, building projects write-ups and building photos.
- Determine size and arrangement of illustrative materials and copy, select style and size of type, and arrange layout based upon available space, knowledge of principles, and aesthetic design concepts.
- Identify the most effective way to relay messages, as directed, in print and electronic media using color, type, illustration, photography, animation, and various print and layout techniques.
- Assist in proofreading all in-house creative and descriptive materials.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or equivalent experience
- 2-3 years related experience and/or training
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Possess a Strong work ethic and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the business (i.e., firm owners, administration and staff).
- Ability to manage and prioritize tasks unsupervised.
- Strong attention to detail is a must.
- Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
- Must also be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
