The Opportunity
Insight Energy Consulting helps commercial property owners and managers across the U.S. navigate energy benchmarking and audit compliance. We need a results-driven marketer to run our marketing engine.
Your top priority: building and maintaining prospect lists of building owners and property management companies across multiple U.S. jurisdictions for cold calling, email, and direct mail campaigns. Beyond list building, you will distribute content, manage campaigns, coordinate freelancers for specialized creative work, and report on results. Content will be provided by leadership. You will start under a marketing leader and grow into the primary marketing role. We expect you to use AI tools and automation in everything you do.
What You Will DoList Generation and Data Management (Top Priority)
- Research data sources and build targeted prospect lists across U.S. jurisdictions. You must already know where to find this data. We will test this in the interview.
- Clean, normalize, deduplicate, and enrich data from multiple sources
- Maintain and update multiple concurrent campaign lists in the CRM, segmented by jurisdiction, property type, building size, and compliance deadlines
Marketing Operations
- Publish and distribute blog content (provided by leadership) across website, social, email, and third-party platforms
- Manage social media, paid ad campaigns (Google, Meta, LinkedIn), and SEO strategy
- Design email campaigns, drip sequences, and coordinate direct mail campaigns
- Make updates to websites and landing pages using WordPress, HubSpot CMS, or similar tools
- Collaborate with developers on website builds and redesigns
- Build dashboards, track KPIs, and deliver regular performance reports
AI, Automation, and Freelancer Management
- Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) daily to accelerate your work. If something can be automated, it should be.
- Build automations with Zapier, Make, or HubSpot Workflows to eliminate manual work
- Source, brief, and manage freelancers for video, graphic design, ad creative, copywriting, and SEO audits
- Stay current on emerging AI tools and proactively bring new ideas to the team
Requirements
- 3+ years in digital marketing with results across multiple channels
- Proven B2B list-building expertise: sourcing property owner data, cleaning it, segmenting it, and maintaining it
- Daily, active use of AI tools to accelerate marketing work
- Proven ability to build automations with Zapier, Make, or similar
- Experience with paid ads (Google, Meta), SEO tools (SEMrush, Ahrefs), and email marketing platforms
- Familiarity with WordPress, HubSpot CMS, or GoHighLevel for website updates
- CRM proficiency (HubSpot preferred) and strong Excel/Google Sheets skills
- Ability to manage freelancers and deliver complete projects on time and on budget
Preferred
- Background in commercial real estate, energy compliance, or B2B services
- Google Ads, HubSpot, or other marketing certifications
